Vehicle Detail
1) I am not interested in whole sale offers for this Landcuiser. I have a lot of money invested in it and the receipts to prove it. If you're looking for a $6,000 this isn't it. It doesn't look, drive, or operate as a $6,000 truck does. You get what you pay for. Quality labor and parts are expensive! And, so is starting with a solid truck. 2) There are no rust issues to be aware of. I garage kept it up until about 4 years ago and never taken it "off-roading" . It has been gone through top to bottom by a very experienced mechanic who specializes in working on "Vintage cars" Upon his suggestion, I had the undercarriage treated with POR15. It was done as a future rust preventative, not a cover up of any structural rust issues. 3) I am not interested in trading for anything else. 4) Please do not bid if you're not willing to buy. I have had several Craig's list offers that fell through. It's unfair to me as the seller and everyone one else who is serious about purchasing the truck. 5) I intend to list locally at $16,000 this week. I will end the auction early for a purchase price of $15,500. I'm not interested in selling for less than that right now. This is a beautifulToyota Land Cruiser FZJ 80 - the last true classic Land Cruiser! Never driven off-road, but if you wanted to it has the very sought after locking front, rear, and center differential that works. AND factory installed Tow package. Full leather, power seats, power locks, power windows, power mirrors, and sunroof. The air conditioner blows ice cold air. All carpets, door panels and front and rear seats are very clean in great condition. The dash is clean with no cracks. The fold down third row seats are in good condition as well. I bought this as and always used it as a 3rd vehicle, not my daily driver. I have always liked the classic FJ80 Land Cruisers. I have had two. First one I had I sold it to someone who exports these FJ80's to Mongolia. ! Yes Mongolia. People who know me think I am nuts with the care I have given this vehicle over the years. Many people buy these hear all about the reliability and toughness which is TRUE but they don't take care of them. This one has new front and rear brake pads, new front calipers, and all rotors machined, it has newer Interstate battery, newer AC compressor and brand new spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor, EGR solenoid replaced, EGR intake and throttle body cleaned. New valve cover gasket. Its running great! Four new Michelin tires with maybe 7K miles on them. Recently I had the undercarriage scraped, sanded and then sprayed with POR 15 as a rust preventative. Only thing I am aware of that is not working on this vehicle is the rear seat heater and the radio attena. Easy fixes, who uses a radio anymore anyhow. ? I have personally had this vehicle for over 10 years, bought it with 67K miles on it from a local dealer. I put over 100K + miles on it or an average of 10K a year. It has run wonderfully! If you've been looking, you know it's difficult to find one in this condition with such low miles. And, with such a thorough and documented mechanical overhaul, this Land Cruiser is ready to be enjoyed for a long time. the posting shows 5 owners, thats a bit misleading. I was the second owner, went through a divorce about 8 years ago. I let my ex wife buy it from me after the divorce just because of the somewhat remote physical location of the home and it was and is a safe vehicle for our children. Its a TANK. I bought it back from her a year or so later. the next short title transfer was a friends son was looking for a car after that, he was driving in HS and liked the looks of it. I had 4 cars then, I sold it to him for a short period of time, he decided he wanted a sport car. I bought it back. So in reality I have maintained this vehicle and taken care of it for 10 years. Just to clarify that point.
