Vehicle Detail
Every car has a story to tell and here it is; Roger Bighouse, a SCCA driver bought the car to restore when he retired. Roger didn't get to finish his project but did put new rocker panels on. A very good friend of his bought the project that same year,1992, and had the car and all the parts which were bagged and tagged except he used water cups and marked them with a sharpie.and transported everything to his warm wooden barn. This is when I come into the picture. I received a call from the new owner stating he was ready to sell his MGA project car that he has had in his barn for 24 years untouched. I drove over to look and after rolling the car, turning the crank which turned with the normal resistance, looked for rust and found very little checking for all the parts, I paid his price. The wiring is shot, and a gauge or two may not work correctly. It does have good fenders which I just used 2/3 bolts to mount the fenders and no bolts on the bottom as you will see in the pictures. All the body parts are in good condition except the right rear fender which could use some attention. Frame is in great shape. Has original leather seats, window curtains that slid on the door, manual starting handle, Lucas headlights and the front valance is perfect. I feel this will be an easy restoration or rolling restoration. I'm selling because I've done my last MG restoration. Sold all but one MG and it is a MGA MkII that I've had a relation with for 38 year. I retired! NAMGAR and local car club member
