Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a 1989 Ex-Georgia State Patrol Mustang SSP-LX. Car is in very good overall condition. The drive train is completely stock. No modifications of any kind. The car was originally painted the GSP colors of blue and gray as per the buck tags. Still retains the roll bar, the siren under the left front fender and the original police wheels and caps. The paint is two stage white and shows well. Shiny but not perfect. There is a 3-4 inch small crease on the bottom of the driver's door-photo #8. It's barely noticeable. There's a small hole in the right rear tail light lens-photo #9. The buck tags are still in place-photo#10. The State of Georgia only purchased around 900 SSP Mustangs during an 11 year period. If you search the-SSP Mustang Registry-and look at the vin registry page, you'll notice there's only a couple of GSP Mustangs listed. I know there's more out there, but how many of those are still nice and in original condition? Probably not very many! The mileage at this time is 95082. The only things that don't work are the map light and the power door lock switch. Has a new fuel pump in the tank and the AC has been converted to 134A. The car runs good and could be used as a daily driver. Engine runs fine with no noise or smoke. The AC blows cold. Transmission shifts fine and has been rebuilt. Car has 5 Goodyear Eagle GT tires with good tread. The car is solid with only minor surface rust in some areas. A $500.00 dollar deposit is required within 24 hours. Balance within 7 days. Funds must clear before car leaves my property. Thanks for looking. On Aug-17-16 at 17:24:58 PDT, seller added the following information: I forgot to mention that the car still retains the single-key for ignition, doors and trunk. It also has a new battery and solenoid switch. On Aug-18-16 at 13:52:10 PDT, seller added the following information: I just learned that the State of Georgia only had 310 SSP Mustangs. And, that this car was from Post 5-Trooper T.D. Williams Badge #679. It was sold on 6-30-1994 with 69,246 miles. On Aug-20-16 at 05:40:46 PDT, seller added the following information: I've had a lot of inquiries about my car, mainly people wanting me to give them a price to end the auction now! Just so everyone will know how rare the GSP Mustangs are, I've been on Ebay since 1999 and I've only seen 2 other GSP mustangs listed for sale. The first one had a different drivetrain and sold for $4000 back in 2006 ( I bought it and still own it) I've turned down $12,000 for it! The last one had 0 miles and was like new, it sold for $16,601 back in 2009. Following is a break-down by year of GSP-SSP Mustangs: 1983-10, 1988-100, 1989-42, 1990-55, 1991-83, and 1992-20. That's why you rarely see these cars for sale. There were only a few to start with! So, the question you have to ask yourself is--"where you gonna find another one for sale?" And--"how long will you have to wait to fine one that's close to original that hasn't been rode hard and put up wet?
