This is the desired Triple Black Mustang GT Convertible with the leather interior that will make a great restoration project due to the low miles and nice interior. We purchased this vehicle and have used it to drive around and have put on about 500 miles on it. The history to this car was that a gentleman has started this project and worked on the 4.6L conversion for about 10 years from a 97 Cobra 4.6L. The motor, trans, rear, and 5 lug Cobra wheel conversion was used to update this Mustang to the modular motor. The 5-lug conversion brings on the bigger brakes and provides more choices in the selection of wheels. The State of California has certified this vehicle with the conversion see pictures of the plate in the door jam. In doing through the car here is what needs attention: The top has some pin holes in it from being the original top along the seams, wheels has some chips on them, tires will need to be replaced as they have been sitting, body is straight, passenger fender has a dent in it. The exterior is all original, exhaust is the factory exhaust, very quiet. The motor, trans and rear are from a 1997 Cobra. The car drives good, the engine is bone stock. This will be a great car once it's gone through and fully restored. We do get a check engine light on but the car does drive without any issues. There is a small oil leak and trans leak when it sits for a week or so. This vehicle will need to be transported as they tires are not safe to drive on. The interior is in very good condition. The factory carpet, seats and door panels are clean. We will help you in every possible way! Sales Tax: If you are an out of state buyer and will have the vehicle transported out of state then you will pay sales tax to your own state and just pay City of Phoenix tax of 2.3%. If you are an Arizona resident and will take possession of the vehicle in Arizona then a 8.6% sales tax will be added to the final sale price. Arizona is a reciprocating state and if you pay sales tax in Arizona then you will not have to pay taxes again in your home state.
