Vehicle Detail
This used sports car is in very good condition, runs and drives great! It is snappy, yet fuel efficient and super fun to cruise in, especially with the hard top off. Buy and drive!!!This ride is a real head turner, especially with a fresh quality professional two-stage paint job. It is used, has very low miles for its age, and in really good shape, but sold as is. A hard decision for me to sell, but here it is with a no reserve price and a relatively low starting bid. I was a bit confused about the received "Experian's AutoCheck" after posting this ad. I see no evidence of major repairs on this car, it looks well cared for and drives straight, but, in light of the said report, I just changed the required Vehicle Title field to "rebuilt...", even though I have a clear Minnesota title. I installed new ProLine 333 Silver 6x14 custom wheels and Falken Ziex ZE329 185/60R14 All Season tires only 9,000 miles ago. This car also includes a high performance stainless steel exhaust system (from headers to exhaust tip, EG Stainless Steel 4-2-1 Header & High Flow Catalytic Converter with EMOTOR T-304 Stainless Steel 2 1/4 in Catback Exhaust). This, now slightly used, exhaust system gave this car more fuel efficiency, more power, and a sportier sound. It was a bit quieter using the included a muffler tip silencer, but I discovered that I liked the quieter ride and soon after installation, I changed it back to the standard exhaust system. These exhaust components are shown in one of the trunk pictures.Engine: D16Y7 1.6L 4-cylinder SOHC 106 hp I4 (smooth running and not an oil burner)Transmission: Four-speed automatic (tight and responsive)MPG: 33 city / 39 highway (I got as high as 42.5 mpg and 32 mpg for a low)Air ConditioningPower SteeringPower Brakes: new front pads, the rear shoes has plenty of wear left (because of the car's insignificant rust it was so easy to work on)Power Windows (including back window)Rear DefrostTilt WheelDual AirbagsCloth Seats (starting to wear in driver's entry point)Del Sol Floor Mats (colors fading, especially in driver's mat)True Targa roof (stores in trunk, secured in roof design frame)Seats: Cloth (small tears starting on drivers back in the normal wear entry area, I was using skull/cross bone black seat covers to protect the seats and will include them, if you want them)Alarm System: Audiovox AA-9300 (simple aftermarket system)Sound System: Sony CDX-GT130 52Wx4 AM/FM/CD/AUX (unique interior designed sliding cover to protect the stereo from the elements, especially if the top is off)Many fun filled facts on the internet, including that the del Sol's production and sales ended with the 1997 (5,603 units produced) model in the U.S. and 1998 elsewhere, with a total of slightly fewer than 75,000 vehicles sold in America.
