Trying to get my money back on the 1996. bought couple months ago from dealer in Maumelle, was took had exhaust leak and rough idle due to switching tanks and got bad gas. Drove it twice, drove it 8 miles to load to haul home. As was told mechanic changed plugs, new gas and ran better, but not best. Got it home, changed fuel filter and it ran better after getting it over 40. Next day had a noise on right bank like a bad lifter . took off head check out good and machine shop, a piece of porcelain from plug had broke off causing noise. put truck back together and left bank had bad knocking. tore back down, block sealer had dried up from first head coming off, water going into oil, and pics show what we found. Marks on piston and head show imprints of a screw, along with busted piston. this cylinder and one to right had dead plug, so the wasn't firing and what we were told to be exhaust leak was the noise from broke piston. So whoever put this back together before got had head work done, put back together with bad piston and put block sealer to keep water from getting in oil . Amazing the truck ran great over 40 the 4 times i drove it. .
