Update: July 20, 2016, Discount Tire company rotated tires and Midas completed an oil change plus all fluids topped off on this same date. My Toyota will also come with a full tank of gas. It will be road ready for any destination. You are looking at my 2001 Toyota 4Runner SR5, 4WD, 6 cylinder. This is a 2-owner vehicle. I am the second owner. I have owned this 4Runner for over 9 years. My 4Runner is well maintained, well-sorted and serviced. No dash lights. No leaks. I care a great deal regarding the mechanics. I have $11,651 in maintenance receipts. You might find a 4Runner cheaper, even more expensive, but you WON"T find one with more verified service records and more OEM parts used. It's a fact. IMPORTANT NOTE: On September 22, 2004 at 88,139 original miles, transmission failure occured. A genuine OEM Toyota remanufactured transmission was installed by Newburgh Toyota. ( Gold standard of transmission repair) So, 215,277 miles on odometer minus 88,139= 127,138 ACTUAL MILES ON THE OEM REMAUFACTURED TRANSMISSION. On April 3, 2008, my 4Runner had an engine failure with 135,389 miles on odometer. On April 10, 2008, I purchased engine with 64,861 miles (donor motor removed from 4Runner-on site. See verified document.) Currently, my 4runner shows 215,277 miles on odometer. So, if you subtract 215,277 minus 135,389= 79,888 miles driven since engine failure. Add 79,888 to (purchased engine) 64,861= 144,749 ACTUAL MILES ON MOTOR. THE PROS: MECHANICALLY VERY GOOD TO EXCELLENT CONDITION. Drivetrain (which includes transfer case & differential) is in very good to near excellent condition. Engine is in very good to near excellent condition. Engines revs nicely, no issues. Transmission is in very good to near excellent condition. Shifts flawlessly thru all gears. Exhaust is in very good condition. Newer walker exhaust and muffler installed recently. Brakes are in very good condition. Front, rear rotors and pads installed in April 2014. HVAC. A/C blows cold air. Heat works as it should. Wheels are in excellent condition to near mint. Plastic centercaps (2) have cracks.Duralast Gold battery purchased on November 2014. OEM timing belt, water pump, crank, cam seal and rear main seal,thermostat,PCV vlave, throttle cleaning, MAF sensor cleaning, etc. replaced in April 2008 @ 135,389 miles. ((Note: Timing belt service was done twice, once before the engine failure and once when the purchased motor was installed.)). Body has all original panels (original vin tags attached) (Exception: I purchased a OEM sport hood) VERIFIED RECEIPTS: (On important maintenance) Rack & pinion, radiator, OEM charcoal canister, complete exhaust including muffler, OEM Toyota remanufactured transmission, Engine purchase w/64,681miles, wheel bearing, Front rotors and pads, Tires, OEM T.belt, water pump,etc. I changed my oil every 3,000 to 4,000 miles. I just ran a Carfax. Let me know if you want a copy. I will email you. THE CONS: Surface Rust in various areas of the car. Drivers side front bumper has penetrated rust, see picture. Dings, scratches and dents. Dent on front and rear bumper. My wife just recently backed the 4Runner into my other car and physically damaged the right side liftgate (see pic) (rear window works as new) The lighting of the car radio works intermittently. Radio works fine. Missing 2 rear mats (do have weathertech mat for rear passenger).The interior is in fair/good condition. Body is in fair condition. Please see pictures. Door key only works on the passenger door. I have a remote start but the remote controls should be checked/batteries replaced or purchase new ones. Tires have about another year or so before needing to be replaced. 2 centercaps have cracks. Please feel free to schedule an appointment with a mechanic of your choice (within 10 miles of 60187).
