Awesome 1972 Volkswagen Super Beetle, restored from the ground up! This is the last year of the flat-windshield Super Beetle! Ground-up body-off restoration in 2007, I purchased it in 2008 from the folks who did the restoration. 6,759 miles on the accurate odometer, I've garaged it and covered it daily. The car has never seen snow or salt. All maintenance records since purchase are included in the sale, including several restoration photos from the previous owner. ENGINE: Rebuilt 1600cc motor installed at time of restoration, sounds great, runs great. No burps, no hiccups, no hesitation, starts every time and runs strong to 80mph. Transmission is smooth, clutch still feels new. EVERYTHING was new at time of restoration. EXTERIOR: Body & chassis are dry with all panels, floors, doors, hood, decklid, fenders, rockers rust free. A really clean restoration. MODIFICATIONS since I've owned it: * New master brake cylinder in 2014.* Electronic ignition.* Hardboards and matching carpet set for trunk.* German floor mats front and rear.* Breathable car cover.* 1972 manual and marketing materials. Car has a few body imperfections that were there when I purchased it (nickel dimple on back bumper, two drip lines on rear decklid paintjob, two small 3mm nicks). Car runs & drives fantastic. To answer additional questions received: yes, it starts immediately. Every time. Yes, the heat works. All 4 sides, always a strong flow. The body is structurally sound, you can drive it home immediately, cross-country and enjoy. A great example of a 1972 Super Beetle as it was, coming right out of the showroom! See below! Also, in response to a question about the underbelly pan picture, the floor pans have no rot or rust. The guys who restored it put a black "sealcoating" on the underbelly ... where the sealcoating is wearing off/cracking in the picture (as I've driven the car for the last 8 years), that's where you see discoloration from the metal exposed to the air, but there is no residue, no holes, all solid throughout.
