We have changed this from a Reserve Auction to a "NO RESERVE"....so if you are the last bidder you own it....thanks! 1949 Chevrolet 5 Window 3100 Pickup. This old truck is a extremely solid old truck. 5 Windows are very hard to find...especially decent ones like this one. This runs down the road nice and straight and stops smoothly. The engine has been rebuilt. It is a "3 on the tree" manual transmission. Tires are tall. Exhaust is quiet. The miles on the truck obviously not true. The gears in the rear end are 3.55 gears. I have taken several pictures so there is no mystery about the undercarriage, etc. This truck is a northern truck and somewhere in the past 67 years has had some frame repairs (both sides of the frame before the hump going over the axle (pictures enclosed)). The paint has runs through out. The cab corners have been replaced. The cross members are still in the box with a steel plate for a floor. It currently does not have a emgerency brake...there are some parts (pictured in the cab of the truck floor). This is the perfect truck for a restoring it back to the way it was in 49' or restro mod/rat rod. We invite anyone interested to inspect the truck before bidding. No trades please.
