Cleaned it thoroughly from top to bottom. I power washed the undercarriage and then sprayed Metal Prep and then sprayed the underside with rust inhibiting paint. You can never say that a car is "rust free" but this 356 is as clean as I have seen a 50 year old Porsche. I was planning on repairing the battery rust and giving it a "sympathetic" restoration to fix the small issues and keep the patina. I bought the 356 in 2015 from the second owner who only drove it less than 200 miles and last driven in 1989. The 356c has been in indoor dry storage since 1989. I did not start it until I decided to sell it which you can see in one of the videos in the listing. It's only original once. The original owner was a Surgeon in Stockton, California that purchased the Porsche Dec. 28, 1964.Purchase date is written in the warranty book included with the car.The last invoice I have for the First owner is from 5/21/86 for a sticking throttle.I have all the original documentation and history of the car. The 356 was sold around the time of the Doctor's death in 1987/1988 to his secretary.She then shipped the Porsche to Texas to her son. The son got transferred to Butte, Montana.Current owner purchased the Cabriolet and would be the third owner. NOTE FROM YORCHIE: Collector has three convertibles and one of them has to go.I shot eight videos trying to get as much information as possible and over 130 photos.This is a numbers matching car.Owner never got a COA from Porsche because he has all the Porsche documentation.The 356 is also documented in the Porsche database.He has all the paperwork to prove ownership going back to original 1964 purchase.All paperwork and DVD of videos/photos are included in the sale.
