Up for sale is my 2001 BMW 530i with approximately 97200 miles. I still drive it 2-3 times a week like I always have so additional mileage is expected. Low miles for a 2001 model. Car runs great and I have owned and maintained it for the last 8.5+ years. This car is priced to sell. This is the price. No negotiating. Details of the car:The Bad- Passenger front power seat back/front motor not working. The tilt and up/down still work. Easy replacement if you want get a seat motor from a salvage yard.- Bumpers show wear from years of parking in the city (see pics)- I noticed a small area of bubbled paint where the trunk latch is. You cannot really see it when the trunk is closed (see pics). When you fix the fender have the body shop sand and spray that area as well, since they'll have the paint already mixed. - Two small dents on hood. Probably from falling acorns (see pics)- Intermittent Check Engine Light. Usually comes on after driving for a long while on the highway at steady higher speeds (70+ mph) but usually then turns off after a few cycles of local driving. This is due to BMW code P0741. Likely culprit is a faulty shift solenoid valve which is a $50 part. It can also be corroded connector or tear in one of the TC seals. This does not affect the car in any way aside from slightly higher RPM's at freeway speeds.- Car was hit while parked two weeks ago and front driver fender was caught. Local estimate at body shop (Fender Menders in Astoria, NY) was $540 for full repair and spray (see pics).- Car will most likely need a wiper relay OR wiper switch. The wipers just started acting erratic as of this relist, even though I just swapped the wiper motor. Known issue with BMW's. You can do it yourself and get the part off eBay for around 40 bucks.The Good- Engine and transmission running flawlessly. Car drives the same as it did from the first day I got it.- I have most records for oil changes (using approved BMW oil) and replacement part invoices for maintenance over the past years- Great tire tread life left. Staggered setup on OEM BMW M-Par wheels.- Earlier this year I changed front pads/rotors, radiator and oil filter housing gasket. Late last year I replaced serpentine belts, control arm and expansion tanks. At around 65k miles I changed spark plugs and O2 sensors, full cooling system (hoses, thermostat, fan clutch, rad, tank etc), and valve cover gaskets. All ignition coils have been swapped.. Also just replaced the windshield wiper motor since it died out of nowhere, but now seems to need a new relay or switch (see above).- Overall really good shape for a 15 year old car. Phenomenal drive with good looks, ample power and quiet cabin. I purchased this car from my cousin in March of 2008 and have had it ever since.Car is sold AS IS with NO RETURNS and NO WARRANTY. You are buying a used BMW so expect to keep up with maintenance during your ownership (it comes with the package). This car is priced to sell as I am waiting on a new car to get here. I'm just trying to squeeze out a few more bucks than what the dealer offered me as a trade in. KBB values this car at $3750 in FAIR condition. Local pickup ONLY!
