Vehicle Detail
This is a "RIGHT HAND DRIVE" 1985 1275cc 4 speed with a manual Gear box. PLEASE NOTE: MINI IS 1985 and the VIN # is SAXXL2S102088059 "NOT 1980" (E-Bay will not accept Uk VIN Number.) I imported the car last year with another car and have now decided to sell it .This is a good looking car that could benefit from some light restoration and mechanical upgrades. The body work shows very well but the paint has signs of blistering in some areas.( see Photos ) The roof is white with vinyl decals that could be removed then the roof compounded and polish and made to look very nice. I have driven the car but have not put many mies on it, the car runs well but as stated could do with some attention to make the car more enjoyable. The radio was removed before i bought the car and although the wiring is in place i have not purchased a replacement. The floors are good, the tires have about 65-70% tread life left in them, the wheels are in fair shape but would work well as a spare set if the new owner wanted to upgrade the wheels and tires. As with all Minis there is always something to do with them to maintain or improve them. While this is not a concourse car this Mini does have some areas that need attention, I would recommend a radiator upgrade to handle the warmer weather here in the USA.. It is far from being a rough car and with some planning and attention will be a very smart and reliable car to enjoy and have fun with. The car has a CLEAN TITLE and is currently registered and insured. Bad Point: The Left rear stub axle appears to be slightly bent and needs to be replaced. This is a $60.00 part from MimiMania and would take an afternoon to replace. If you have any questions please ask.
