Vehicle Detail
This is a 1968 Chevelle Malibu. Originally a 327 car but now has a 350. Engine and trans were built around 6000 miles ago and rearend and front suspension around 2000 miles ago. Engine 72 block 350 with edelbrock E street aluminum heads. It has a comp cam and comp can roller rockers in it. Also has rocker girdles in it. Edelbrock intake and a quick fuel 650 carb. Headers and dual exhaust into flowmasters that dump just before the axle. This was all done early 2012 and parts were purchased from summit. Should be around 375 horsepower. Transmission 700 R4 with 4L60 1st and 2nd gear. A very reputable trans builder in this area did the trans build. It has a shift kit and a corvette governor. The governor is adjusted properly and so is the tv cable. The car shifts properly and when you stand on it it downshifts and does as it should. Even in overdrive on the freeway it'll kick down properly. No need to manual shift this automatic trans. Rearend Stock 10 bolt but has an auburn posi unit and 3.73 gears. New bearings and seals and a basic rebuild was done at this time. Front EndDisk brakes from a 71 a body car were installed and all new ball joints and tie rods and ends and basic rebuild was done. It also has new lowering springs and shocks all the way around. Interior All auto meter pro comp gauges in the dash. They all work properly. Factory horse shoe shifter and console from 71 a body SS car. Procar reclining bucket seats. Touch screen Bluetooth stereo with all new speakers. Tweeters in the a pillars. 5.5 inch speakers in the kick panels. 6x9 inch speakers in the rear behind the seat. And two 10 inch subs in the trunk. The amps are behind the sub box. This thing really jams out. This car does not have any AC or heat. The previous owner took the AC box out and was planning on installing vintage air and never got around to it. I was going to do the same but I just don't mind rolling down the windows and cruising. Body This is the part I don't know much about. It gets compliments all day every day but I wouldn't consider it a show car. It is a "10 footer". I am an extremely picky person so I am trying to emplain it best. Some people agree with my "10 footer" and others think I'm crazy and it's really nice. The paint job was done by a previous owner before the guy I bought it from. Probably 10-12 years ago. Still shines great but it has some chips and scratches and waves in it. It is a 48 year old car and in incredible shape for that age but it's still old. Also it has brand new 18" boss wheels and tires. 8" wide in the front and 10" wide in the back. Please feel free to call me with any questions you might have. 316-250-6747
