Vehicle Detail
NO RESERVE AUCTION Welcome. You are bidding on a very original 1971 Porsche 911e targa. This car has had the same owner since November 1972. I have quite a few records, clean California Title, and original documents that all go with the car. Please take a look at the pictures in the album below. Please let me know if you have any other questions. I can help arrange out of state shipping or overseas transport. http://s263.photobucket.com/user/MrBMW2002/library/1971911etarga VIN: 9111210892 Color Code: 8010 Silver Metallic Engine Number: 6218254 History: This is a time capsule. This car was purchased in 1972 by the previous owner it remained in their possession until recently. It has been sitting in his garage unused for the past 25 years or so. It spent its life in California and still has a clean California title ready to handoff to its new owner. It is a very original car that has been well maintained over the years. Exterior: The exterior of this car is very original and it still has all of its original body panels. It has never been in an accident and there is no rust on the car. The floor pans are all original and in excellent shape. There is no rust, incorrect jacking on the pans. It was stored in a dry garage out of the elements. This car did receive paint work in 1978. It still has its original paint in the jams, under hood etc. The doors, hood and deck lid all open and close properly. Engine/Transmission: This car still has its original MFI numbers matching engine. This car has been sitting for many years and it is in need fresh fluids, MFI service etc. The top end was done recently prior to sitting. It was in running condition when parked, and it starts with gas being poured down the intakes. It turns over smoothly. The sportomatic transmission had a leaky seal and that was the reason why it was parked. I was informed that it should be looked at prior to driving. Wheels/Brakes: This car comes with all 5 of its original Fuchs wheels. The brakes work properly and this car is equipped with the optional alloy calipers. This car rolls and steers very easily. Interior: This has all of its original gauges, crack free dash, targa top etc. The carpets and seats have been changed to a later 911style. Overall: This car comes with its original tool kit. This car was mainly driven by the owner’s wife as it was fitted with all of the creature comforts, AC, sportomatic transmission etc. It would make a wonderful restoration candidate, or weekend project.
