Vehicle Detail

1970 BOSS 302 DELUXE INTERIOR FACTORY 430 RACE REAR-END. Current Mileage on the car reads (21,624) This car is a very rare car to the best of my findings there was only 2) boss 302 with DSO 89 DSO 89 is after built at the factory it was not sold it went to directly to headquarters. As I have been told from Ford there is 4) reasons that cars get sent to headquarters Transportation Service Dep. 1) Could have been a Calendar car for photo shoot ( Jan 1 1970 was date delivered ). 2) Could have been car sent to Car & driver or motor trend for car review . 3) Could have been ordered by a ford Executive. 4) Holman Moody was a Nc based race team. They are the only race team to take all delivery's from for at headquarters for the race team. This car I got out of NC about 40 Minutes from Holman Moodys old race Shop. The car has never left SC or Nc The title is so old it is from back when SC Hand wrote there titles. The prior owner was in Mid 80's who I got the car from he has owned the car since 1984 & the License plates are still on the car. This car has a lot of it's original paint still intact in my opinion it only looks to have 1 repaint on the drivers rear 1/4 area. This car is a strange duck the car was a Tach delete car with spoiler Package and Deluxe interior. Now on the cowl Panel there is 2 holes that to me look Pressed in not drilled & look to be a external Tach. There is 2) holes on the Passengers inner apron I was told that is where they put the external Fuel pump there is no other reason for the holes. Also looking at the frame rails there is Hooks welded to the bottom of the car looks & makes sense to me this was for Tying the car down for transport on a trailer. The Rear-end is still in the car 9 Inch 430 Staggered Shocks as it should be. The Vin is still in the Dash never touched. The Buck tag is also intact and un touched. Both fender aprons are Vin stamped factory. 0F132155321 This car when restored is worth way more then your normal regular Boss 302's The 430 Rear Gear was pretty much an Ordered Race car either way in my eyes. This car should be in the neighborhood of 100k to 125k restored with the options is has & if you can find the history out of who's race car it was or teams car I think you can even go to 200k value for such a car. So we all know this car will take a lot of money & time to do it right but if you want to do a boss 302 at the end of the restoration you would have a much rarer boss then whats out for sale today. Pretty hard to even find a real boss these days with all the Vin stamps & tags un touched so please contact me if you have questions. The frame Rails in the car are very solid and usable no problem. The Rockers are also solid. The engine is a 1971 302 was put in there 30 years ago and at so it turns but who cares your not going to use it. The transmission was also replaced 30 years ago and to an automatic my guess was for racing there a lot faster then manuals down the track. I know where there is an Original 302 Boss Transmission if you need one. It is a low mile trans out of a 70 I can give you that fellows number if you buy the car. Willie 704-913-8153
