Up for auction is this 2001 Acura CL Type-S coupe. This vehicle was seized by the Clarendon Hills Police Dept following an arrest. It was being driven at the time of the seizure. This vehicle has been sitting in our impound lot since February 2015. The battery is dead, however the engine starts right up with a jump start. The engine sounds smooth otherwise. The mileage on the dash shows 275,733. We have not driven this vehicle and therefore have no knowledge of its mechanical condition. The brakes need to be fixed because the pedal goes all the way to the floor with little resistance. The vehicle isn't road worthy until the brake problem is addressed. As seen in the pictures, there are some obvious signs of wear and tear on this vehicle. There is body rust on the driver and passenger side rear wheel wells as well as various scratches, scrapes, dings etcetera. The hood release cable is broken, so the front grill had to be removed to access the engine bay. The leather on the front driver seat has a large tear. Otherwise the leather interior is in pretty good condition. This vehicle is highly optioned from the factory. Clear Illinois certificate of title. This vehicle is currently located at the Clarendon Hills Police Department and will be made available for viewing by interested bidders upon appointment.
