Here is my 1966 Ford Econoline rat rod van project that i have been running around in for the last several years. Great fun, bare bones driving at its best. I really enjoy this van but cannot take it to my next residence so it has to find another loving home. When i got this van it was in really really bad shape and i proceeded to kinda rehab it without going to crazy. The 240 six cylinder starts nicely even in the winter but it does burn a little oil. The suspension is in need of some love and was tops on my list of to dos until our recent need for relocation. It has very low gears so not a very good highway driver in its current state but really is fun around town. I have had the clutch replaced, refurbished carb put on cause the old one was junk, new motor mounts, water pump, starter, vintage matching FoMoCo rims with newish tires, muffler, had the heater core valve sealed off so the heater works, replaced the battery wires, fuel pump, dropped the tank and cleaned it, had the radiator flushed and more. That being said this is still more of a driving project than a everyday driver meaning still work to be done. It is able to drive everyday as i drove it to work for two years. My wife made some real cool gorilla fur seat covers for it that really set it off. I repaired the interior lights, installed an original floor mat, redid the dog house and installed insulation to help with noise and heat, i kinda just made it a fun little run around van for picking up stuff or doing side jobs. It does have some rust issues that i didn't ever get to. The frame looks good everywhere i have seen but the body has a lot of the common holes for these vehicles. i never cared about it and it still gets plenty of thumbs up. I could go on and on about all the things i have done to get it cool and usable. I have tried to describe the van the best i could without writing a book so ask questions.
