Vehicle Detail
Here's your chance to have a wonderful sport touring bike at a fabulous price! I'm selling this for one of my riding buddy's who doesn't do eBay or any other online stuff. (Yea, he's that guy!) Anyway, he's selling his BMW K1200S, he hasn't ridden it in 3 years, he's into Harley's now and rides his Electra Glide Ultra Custom. When parked, the Beemer ran and ran well. I can attest to that, as it scared the beejezus out of me once! Best he can remember it has 30,000-ish miles on it, maybe around 36,000. He tells me that the only thing mechanically amiss is when under heavy acceleration in second gear, around 7000-9000 RPM, the transmission feels like it "skips" for a second. Kind of like when a shifter fork is bent and the tranny jumps out of gear. It's never been wrecked, never been dropped. Tires are in excellent condition. It will need a full service, and will need a battery. Body work is good, no dings. I'm told the black and yellow color scheme is optional and extra. (What do I know, I ride a Harley too!) Buyer will assume all shipping costs. The bike is located in South Jersey near Atlantic City. I have used uShip in the past and find them very reasonable and reliable for shipping motorcycles. Payment in full prior to releasing the bike for shipping. Title is clear. No additional charges for New Jersey bug spatters, considered by some the finest on the East Coast. On Apr-25-16 at 06:06:45 PDT, seller added the following information: NOTE: Just to eliminate any confusion about the transmission skipping out of gear while in 2nd gear, the buyer will need to rebuild the transmission to fix this condition. Please note that if you are not able to perform this repair yourself, I am told that it could cost you as much as $5000.00 for the repair!
