You can now own a VERY NICE Porsche 911T Coupe that is getting hard to find, especially in this kind of BEAUTIFUL - condition !! We have been asked to sell this BEAUTY by my wifes 61 year old cousin who lives outside of Clovis, California. Her late husband passed away a little over two years ago and she figures the last time the car was driven was around eight years ago when they moved into their new home. At that time he had a local shop tune it all up which included going thru the fuel injection system. He bought this car in 1982 from a private party in Castro Valley, California and drove it less than 8,000 miles in the last 33 years !! It was however always kept in a DRY - HEATED garage when not in use !! We drove to her house from where we live in Idaho to visit her and look this Porsche over as she had mentioned to us that she would like us to sell it for her. Please note several pictures of the car below as I found it in her garage. We then had the car shipped to our dealership in Boise, Idaho and as soon as we received it we had our local Porsche specialist shop look the car over, drain out all of the old gas, tune it up, fix an oil leak and get it ready to drive and enjoy which they did. I looked in the glove box and found registrations tracing the previous owner back to 1977, he sold the car to our 61 year old cousins husband in 1982. The Porsche name has had a rich racing heritage that can be traced all the way back to 1948 when the Porsche Chassis #1, driven by Herbert Kaes (Ferdinand Porsche's nephew) took first place in his class in the first race to be held in Austria after World War II. The 1972 Carrera RS was originally developed to qualify Porsche for the Group 4 Special GT race catagory, with only 500 units built in the first production run. First introduced at the 1972 Paris Auto Show, the first run of 500 cars sold out within a week of being offered. Over the next winter, Porsche built another run of 1,560 RS models which also qualified the car for the Group 3 Grand Touring race category. This 911T was built in the 1970's as a tribute to those original Carrera RS cars and other than mechanical tune ups has remained unchanged for all of these years, only driven less than 8,000 miles by the current owner for the last 33 years !! 1973 was the LAST and they tell me the BEST year of the first generation "Long Hood" 911's. It is RARE as only 16,933 911T's were built between 1972-1973 and they tell me it's the year to have !! They drove the car very little in the 33 years they owned it and it has always been kept in DRY - HEATED storage when not in use. This is the first time this 911T has been offered for sale in over 33 years !! It still retains it's correctly mounted - FACTORY ORIGINAL - A-pillar mounted Porsche VIN tag - FACTORY ORIGINAL - driver's door pillar mounted "Kunstharzlack" paint code data plate - FACTORY ORIGINAL - driver's door jamb mounted GVWR/VIN sticker - FACTORY ORIGINAL - front support mounted data plate and it's - ORIGINAL - 1973 Porsche 911T owner's manual, all of which are shown in several pictures below. We have ordered the Porsche Certificate of Authenticity and we will post that information once we receive it. This Porsche 911T is sound and in BEAUTIFUL shape and has been a NICE - DRY - SOLID - California - Idaho high mountain desert - Western car and NEVER fails to turn heads. This car shows and runs VERY WELL !! If you can make it to Boise in the next ten days please come look at and drive this car for yourself. You won't be disappointed !! THIS IS A QUALITY CAR THAT IS READY TO ENJOY !! At the heart of this 911 is what appears to be the VERY STRONG !! - Code "911/51-6123803" - 2.4 Liter - Bosch Mechanical Fuel Injected Six cylinder air-cooled motor (140 Horsepower!!) that is running VERY well indeed. The motor also sports the ORIGINAL dual throttle bodies, ORIGINAL exhaust manifolds, ORIGINAL Bosch mechanical fuel injection system, ORIGINAL Porsche valve covers and Dual K&N performance air cleaners !! Sounds GREAT too with the - "Throaty" - RARE - factory style - "Leistritz" - performance exhaust system !! The engine is backed by the SMOOTH - BULLETPROOF - Code "915/02" - 5 speed synchromesh manual transaxle which also functions very well. Take a look at this BEAUTIFUL - RARE - 1973 Porsche 911T Coupe (Carrera RS Tribute / Clone) that was built in the 70's and has pretty much remained untouched since then !! You can now own a VERY NICE Porsche 911T Coupe that is getting hard to find, especially in this kind of BEAUTIFUL - condition !! We have been asked to sell this BEAUTY by my wifes 61 year old cousin who lives outside of Clovis, California. Her late husband passed away a little over two years ago and she figures the last time the car was driven was around eight years ago when they moved into their new home. At that time he had a local shop tune it all up which included going thru the fuel injection system. He bought this car in 1982 from a private party in Castro Valley, California and drove it less than 8,000 miles in the last 33 years !! It was however always kept in a DRY - HEATED garage when not in use !! We drove to her house from where we live in Idaho to visit her and look this Porsche over as she had mentioned to us that she would like us to sell it for her. Please note several pictures of the car below as I found it in her garage. We then had the car shipped to our dealership in Boise, Idaho and as soon as we received it we had our local Porsche specialist shop look the car over, drain out all of the old gas, tune it up, fix an oil leak and get it ready to drive and enjoy which they did. I looked in the glove box and found registrations tracing the previous owner back to 1977, he sold the car to our 61 year old cousins husband in 1982. The Porsche name has had a rich racing heritage that can be traced all the way back to 1948 when the Porsche Chassis #1, driven by Herbert Kaes (Ferdinand Porsche's nephew) took first place in his class in the first race to be held in Austria after World War II. The 1972 Carrera RS was originally developed to qualify Porsche for the Group 4 Special GT race catagory, with only 500 units built in the first production run. First introduced at the 1972 Paris Auto Show, the first run of 500 cars sold out within a week of being offered. Over the next winter, Porsche built another run of 1,560 RS models which also qualified the car for the Group 3 Grand Touring race category. This 911T was built in the 1970's as a tribute to those original Carrera RS cars and other than mechanical tune ups has remained unchanged for all of these years, only driven less than 8,000 miles by the current owner for the last 33 years !! 1973 was the LAST and they tell me the BEST year of the first generation "Long Hood" 911's. It is RARE as only 16,933 911T's were built between 1972-1973 and they tell me it's the year to have !! They drove the car very little in the 33 years they owned it and it has always been kept in DRY - HEATED storage when not in use. This is the first time this 911T has been offered for sale in over 33 years !!
