1972 Ford Mustang "Sprint Edition" Fastback You are viewing a very nice, well preserved, original 1972 Ford Mustang Fastback "Sprint Edition" These cars don't come up for sale very often, jump on this one! You will never find a more original mustang sprint out there! Was a special produced mustang in 72 only to boost sales and was built to go along with the 1972 olympics! This mustang is VERY original, the mustang is wearing its original white paint color with the grabber blue painted along the bottom of the car separated by a red stripe. The only part of the car that has been repainted is the tail panel by the gas cap. Repainted to match original color. The decals on the hood and rear quarter panels are brand new as well. The drivetrain is original and is in excellent running condition! It's suits its original 302 engine with air conditioning which still blows slightly cooler air, power steering and power brakes. All systems working great! The car has a very smooth shifting 3-speed manual transmission, clutch and rear axle components work and run excellent. Everything original down to stickers in engine bay and original radiator hose with markings. Tires on the car are like brand new, a good radial for great driving experience. The interior of the car is mostly original as well, the only pieces that have been replaced are the new blue rubber mustang floor mats, the dash cover, shifter boot, and dome light lens. Everything else is original including carpet, upholstery and headliner. All in great shape for the age of car. The car has its original Am/Fm radio. This is a very well preserved but used mustang. This mustang has no rust, has been garaged a fair portion of its life, although it is in such great shape it has been used and driven, it has 116 K miles on the odometer and the engine runs great with no leaks. The car is very well preserved down to the minor things, all the lights work including reverse lights, seat belt light on the interior, engine bay and trunk light. Like I said you won't find another sprint fastback in such good shape still wearing 90% of its originality! There were only 1908 sprint fastback cars produced in 72 and only 1268 of them were fastback's with the 302/3-speed trans with air conditioning.
