1984 Honda VF1000R. Imported from Paris, France. (Note 6.2 gallon flat-top European TT style fuel tank.) All original condition except for exhaust. 11,484 miles. Runs perfectly. Inspected. Clear title. Brand new Pirelli tires with less than 50 miles on them. From private collection. In March 1984, Honda introduced the VF1000R in Europe only. (We received them in the U.S. in 1985-1986 only) Its styling was a celebration of the V4's racing heritage and the VF1000R was a showcase for the technology Honda had developed. The concept Honda had in designing the VF1000R was that it would showcase and, more importantly, homologate all of the innovative and groundbreaking technology that had been used in the F1 class, for use in the production based class. This, of course, is what introduced the production world to the "race replica." I think this is one of the most beautiful motorcycles ever designed. It gets a LOT of attention. If you admire, and are familiar with this model motorcycle, you will appreciate its condition and low miles. And that it is a 1984 model, available, titled, and street legal here in the U.S. Some people are in the habit of saying their 1985 -- '86 U.S. VF1000R is rare. That's relative. What's absolute is the rarity and condition exhibited in this 1984 example. It's a pleasure to drive and even better to look at. I'm happy to answer any question you may have.
