(Due to sickness in the family last week I had to cancel the auction in mid-week. Everything is under control now. Thank you for understanding.) Up for auction is a 2000 Honda Insight with 39,557 original miles which belonged to a city in the Los Angeles area. The city registered it on 12/19/2000 with 20 miles on the odometer. It had been on a scheduled maintenance program since new. Air conditioning and Key-less Entry are but two of the extras included in this well-equipped 5-Speed sport auto. All systems are operational. This Insight is original and in very good mechanical condition. I replaced the old IMA battery on 1/9/2016 at 39,413 miles with a new Hybrid Revolt High-Current 8-AH Battery. NOTE :The harness required IF adding a grid-charger was installed with the new battery. The battery has a 1-year warranty. However, it may be extended for an additional two years for $100 dollars per year anytime during the first year. The 12-volt battery is also new. Four Potenza RE92 tires are on the Insight. The city had installed its logos on the Insight doors and rear-upper quarter panels. The logos were removed before the Insight was sold. The letters on the two quarter panels are barely noticeable. The paint on the hood and the small 39-inch by 32-inch top of the Insight has slightly faded. The rest of the paint is in very good condition. I ran an Auto Check History report on the Insight. It is a complete check but short in length due to the fact that in the Detailed Vehicle History Section there are only three events noted (instead of ten or twenty events as on multiple-owned vehicle).
