To the best of my knowledge; Triumph promoted making 500 of the 100th Anniversary Edition in Lucifer Orange for the 2002 model year. A handful of these were produced as 2002 year of manufacture before a fire in the factory halted production. The factory did not resume production until after September, which would make the year of manufacture 2003. Triumph made the decision to continue production of the Lucifer Orange anniversary edition using the existing/surviving 2002 Lucifer Orange gas tanks as well as other parts marked 2002. Only a handful of 2003 anniversary editions were produced. Triumph has not disclosed how many were produced for the 2002 or the 2003 model year. It is generally accepted that only a small number of each model year were made, a fraction of the 500 Triumph promoted. The one you see here has 32, yes only 32 miles! It has been in storage it's entire life. It has not been wrecked or dropped. It does have a scratch on the front fender, the left grip is slightly scuffed, and there is a small dent(?) on the left muffler next to the jiffy stand and the chrome is 'bruised', not scratched, on the primary cover by the shifter. These were caused by what the owner described as the bike being "In the way". The motorcycle has recently been professionally serviced by a Triumph dealer. The fuel system has been cleaned, the carburetors have been overhauled. It has a new battery. Other than the items mentioned, this bike is immaculate and is rust free. It is as close to factory new condition as you will find in a 13 year old motorcycle and is definitely a collector's dream. It runs like new because it is new. In order to retain it's originality this bike will not be test ridden.
