Vehicle Detail

!!!!! No Reserve !!!!! You are bidding on a 1967 Porsche 912. I have owned this car for 3 yrs. Clean California title. According to the previous owner, the car was in storage for over 20 after the owner passed away. Replacement of all fluids, battery and a newer set of tires was all it took to get it running again. Once I did, I realized that to make the car perfect, I did not have the time or the desire for such an undertaking. If left in it's current"survivor" condition, it would make a nice every day driver for someone. Will be sold to the highest bidder! Good luck. ENGINE Motor starts right up and settles into a slightly rough idle with the normal sounds of a horizontally opposed 4 cylinder air cooled engine. Once motor revs over 2000 rpm, missing subsides, and engine gets nice and smooth. Accelerates with no missing, pinging or backfire. Usual minor oil leaks for a 49 yr old car. TRANSMISSION Clutch has a nice feel with a progressive engagement toward the top. No grinding during upshifts or downshifts. No out of the ordinary vibration or grinding whatsoever. PAINT/BODY Car has been repainted at some point in it's life. Original color appears to be a light metallic gold. Paint currently has a nice shine for the most part, but it is obvious it is not original. Some areas where the paint has actually flaked off reveal the original paint underneath. No evidence of bondo or collision repair. No obvious evidence of rust perforation. INTERIOR Interior appears to have been redone also at some time during it's life. Leather seats showing no cracks or tears. Headliner in perfect condition. Padded dash shows no cracks or sun damage at all. Rear parcel shelf shows no sun damage either. Rubber mats in front are showing wear and need to be replaced. Tachometer not working. Clock not working. Speedo and odo working perfectly. All lights working perfectly. Authentic NARDI steering wheel. 3 point racing harness installed in both front seats. DRIVE Vehicle drives very well. No pulling during acceleration or braking. This is a 912, so performance happens slowly. Deliberate actions such as downshifting and not over revving result in an exhilarating driving experience. This car will cruise at 80 MPH all day long (see last photo of speedo) ** Seller reserves the right to end this sale at any time. California residents: Fees of $980 are due to bring registration current.
