WONDERFUL...RARE....DEPENDABLE....ALL STEEL. IT'S A DANDY!! If you have been wanting an old honest Chevy truck, that you can jump in and drive...this is the one. This was a barn true barn find that I have brought back to life. I have spent a great deal of time and money making it dependable, complete, and a joy to drive. NOT a fancy restoration your afraid to scratch...It has the wonderful bumps and bruises, but this is history on wheels. ENGINE: 6 cylinder 216 as original. I was told this engine had been totally rebuilt prior to storage and after pulling the valve cover, and examining push rods, etc I believe this to be true.Excellent compression, this engine runs strong. TRANSMISSION: Original 3 speed transmission that works well. Synchronized shifting into 2nd and third, no 'double clutching' necessary. Below is a list of items that have been done to the truck in the last 30 days. I will include receiptswith the sale to support ALL parts and work listed below. NEW: Wheel brake cylinders, brake hoses and springs on all 4 wheelsREBUILT: Master cylinder. Properly honed, and rebuilt to original. NEW: 6.50 x16 Tires. NEW: Seats upholstered with a quality kit from Jim Carters Chevy Trucks catalogue. Carburetor was professionally rebuilt, NEW fuel pump, fuel filter, spark plugs, points, condenser, battery and cables. The radiator was drained and new fluid added. All other fluids checked and topped. I pulled the gas tank which appeared to have been drained prior to storage. I went ahead and cleaned it thoroughly. then sealed it with POR-15 gas tank sealer. I also installed new gas tank straps. Sending unit works well. OTHER VERY IMPORTANT ITEMS: All the gauges work well, The windshield cranks in and out smoothly, the cowl vent works, all the windows roll up and down smoothly, all the glass is excellent with the exception of 1 rock chip in the windshield. The headlights and horn work well,(I'm working on the brake light currently). Wiper does not work. Front end steering is tight and with the new tires and being a 1/2 ton it's really fun to drive. Old trucks are hot right now. I drove it into town to get gas yesterday and a normal 15 minute round trip took almost an hour. It just has a very, very cool look. It's fun, rare and a time capsule. It's like living history you can drive anywhere. Clear title. No Solicitors, I do not need help selling...frankly it sells itself! I reserve the right to market the truck locally and end the auction at any time. TERMS: $500 deposit within 24 hours. Balance due within 3-4 days. Cash or wire Transfer only.I encourage you to come drive it yourself or send a professional to inspect it. If you come..you'll love it! Please note my 100% feedback so that you may bid with confidence! Sad to see this one go, but I need the room. Someone is going to get a neat old rare piece.
