For Sale: 2002 Z06 Black Corvette/Black Interior. 1 Owner: I purchased this car for my wife New in May of 2002 from a Rick Hendrix Chevrolet in Raleigh, NC at a cost of $53,209. The TRUE mileage now is 68,485 (calling it 69K) and 80% of these miles were highway miles. This was my wife’s daily driver and she commuted between Pinehurst, NC and West Palm Beach, FL for a number of years. This car has never been wrecked OR in any accident. Absolutley CAR-Fax it. It runs GREAT! It has NOT been hot-rodded, but it has been driven consistently like a Z06 Corvette should be... since this is her #15 Corvette and her second Z06. The oil and filter has been changed like clockwork. It has not been smoked in and except for once in a blue moon... no one has even ridden shotgun. The rider side automatic power window motor has been replaced 3 times (an issue in 2002 Z06) and needs to replaced again. $40-60 part. The drivers power window sometimes grates when lowering. The current Tires on this car (Pirelli) are the third set. They will need to replaced in the near future. (The Tire Rack is the best place I have found for Z06 tires). The flip-up headlights work fine.The original interior is in good condition for its age. There is a few blemishes and a small hole on the outside edge of the drivers leather seat. The drivers visor is bent & broken on one corner. There is a small scratch on a door panel. The original carpet is passably clean & has the original hook-in mats. The interior headliner is loose and needs to be reattached. The AC blows cold/ heat works but light showing temperature is out. The CD player only runs intermittently (mostly in warm weather) but the radio sounds good with Bose Speakers. The drivers outside mirror needs the glass replaced as it has lines across it & is foggy. The outer car needs to be painted... door jambs appear fine. My wife said it was/is the worst & most problematic paint job in her long history with Vettes. She said it was a "late factory Friday" paint job. There is no real body work but the paint is oxidized and pitted from traveling & pine tar. The car wore a bra but it still occurred on the hood, roof and trunk lid. Due to various issues, this car is being sold AS IS.
