2008 Mercedes G500 2008 Mercedes Benz G500 FOR SALE: On offer is this beautiful 2008 Mercedes G-Class. In a sea of black Gelandewagens, this one in the classic MB Silver over Black colors stands out and the color really shows off the classy lines of this G500. In fact, most fans consider Silver/Black as the best color combination on the G-Class! This truck is in excellent condition inside, outside, and mechanically. It includes everything - complete tools, window sticker, first aid kit, two keys, etc. If youre serious about finding the right G-Class, this is the car for you. The truck has been properly serviced at Mercedes and has been very well taken care of since new - and it shows. It has also received some very expensive upgrades such as G550 wheels, custom skid plates and a rear cargo shelf system from Off Road Exclusive (ORC - specialists in G-Class upgrades). Also important to note is the fact that this car has no accident history and it has no paintwork. Of course both the Carfax and Autocheck are clean. EXTERIOR: The outside of this Silver Mercedes Benz G500 is in absolutely gorgeous condition and will definitely not disappoint. As previously mentioned, this car has never been in an accident and it doesnt have any paintwork. All doors, the hood, the trunk, and even the gas door all open/close and latch smoothly. All of the gaps around the car are even, each panel fits as it would have the day it were new, and none of the bolts have "been turned". As expected there are stone chips here and there, but no major cosmetic issues. This is a very nice looking car and were sure you will agree the exterior is in excellent condition. The lack of cosmetic imperfections is also a sign of the prior owners conscientiousness towards the car. You can see in the photos that it includes a 3M clear protection on leading edges of the fender flairs that have slightly discolored over time. This car was regularly detailed and kept very clean outside and underneath... another sign the past owners were careful custodians of this Gelandewagen. INTERIOR: This G-Class has black interior that is accented with wood trim, and its in great condition. Candidly, it would pass for having 20k miles on it with ease... its that clean. Starting with the seats, youll see they are in excellent shape and dont have the typical shrinking or hardening of the leather. The seats are also free of bolster damage. Important to note is these seats havent been re-dyed. Move to the door panels and you will find the leather is tight and fits just as it should. All of the glass is factory and without blemishes. All of the switches, controls, vent surrounds, console inserts, etc are all in perfect condition and everything works as it should. In the rear you will see the original owner upgraded the rear cargo area with a custom shelf unit from ORC at a cost of $800. Beleive me, this shelf unit is handy for making the most of the rear cargo area, and it looks like an OEM part. The Harmon Kardon stereo sounds great and has Sirius if you want to use satelite radio. Other options inlcude the multi-countour driver seat, heated front/rear seats, heated steering wheel, and more. This G-Class is loaded up and ready to go! MECHANICS: Plain and Simple - this truck runs superb. The engine starts up without hesitation and it idles and revs smoothly and without issue. We had the car checked out and our Mercedes mechanic inspecting the car spoke about how well it runs and drives. There were no odd fault codes stored, and there are no issues with check engine lights or any other warning lights. The suspension on this G500 is tight and there are no rattles or other noises on side streets or on the highway. The brakes are good, and the parking brake works properly too. The transmission shifts without issue up and down through the full gear range, and it does it cold or warm. Also notice this G-class has the new style G550 wheels so it appears newer than it really is. The Yokohama Geolandar tires are also all in great shape and show even wear indicating the suspension is in good order. They measure approximately 90% tread remaining, so you wont have a tire bill anytime soon. The original owner also ensured protection of the suspension by adding ORC skid-plates underneath, a $1,500 upgrade, so everything is well protected for any type of weather you may encounter.
