This is your chance to own a very original all numbers matching 1957 VW Oval Window Bug.I purchased the car from the original family that had the bug shipped from Germany to Long Beach, CA.The bug has remained in the family since that time.They had plans to restore the bug, and started by removing all of the glass and chrome trim, bumpers and lights, and they even started to sand it. They replaced all four fenders with aftermarket ones.Do to health issues, they stopped shortly after that and put the car in storage. The car has sat there since 1990.The car has its original 36 HP Motor and Original Trans Axel.The Motor turns freely, but I have not attempted to start it.I also have the original keys for the car.The car has many new parts that includes running boards, rubber seals, head light buckets, etc.All of the original glass is there, but the windshield had a crack in it. I also have original drivers side front and rear fenders in great condition available for purchase, they ARE NOT included in the sale. When I checked the car over I didn't see any rust issues, and the floor pans are in great condition.The owner also has a photo of the car being taken off the ship in long beach when it was shipped here from Germany, I will include it in the sale. The car has a import tag under the hood which is really neat. It even has its original keys, This would be a great restoration project. Oval bugs keep going up in price. Title in hand.
