For sale 1971 VW Super Beetle Driver / Survivor project car , Runs Drives And Stops , Clutch feels great and the tranny shifts easy through all 4 gears and reverse. The tires have good tread and the car has a newer muffler, brake lines, and starter. The radio is missing but all of the dash switches work like the blower and wipers also the headlights blinkers and brake lights all work. All glass is good. I have not owned this car for very long and don't know a whole lot about it but I will describe it as best as I can. I have driven it about 10 miles and it seems to run and drive good however there is a fuel odor that I pinpointed to the sending unit seal in the top of the gas tank it is seeping a little and I think it needs a new o-ring. The front hood latch button is broke off but it still opens easy if you stick something in the hole to push the button. The body has one rust area that has been amateurly repaired on the lower area in front of the rear fender on the drivers side. The paint job has seen better days. The floors feel good but there is some rust issues on the under side of the car please see pics. The fit of the driver side front fender is off a little and needs alignment / body work and the front grill area also needs some work. The car starts right up and idles good and the choke works like it should. this car has a good battery and all of the tires hold air. The odometer reads 10883 so I assume this car has 110833 miles but am unsure. This car is being sold "AS IS" FOR PARTS OR REPAIR. I have not had it inspected and have no idea if it will pass. I have not driven it at hiway speeds or for a long period of time and am unsure of how safe and reliable it is so I would not recommend driving it home.
