Vehicle Detail
We fell in love with this 2008 Convertible Corvette when we were looking to buy a few years ago. We looked at several different models and this one stood out. We believe it still does. You can see the original window sticker in the pictures but here is a list of features that we really liked: Features:3LT Package (a $5100 option), LS3 6.2 Liter 436 HP engine, crystal red metallic color is Corvette's best looking red ever (a $750 option), tan electric convertible top with cashmere leather interior and Corvette labeled carpeted floor mats, heated seats, 6 disc CD player, iPod or MP3 input jack (not available on models with Navigation unit), Bose Premium sound system, XM radio, OnStar system, Driver & passenger 6 way power seats, Heads up display, Two driver memory package, Built in garage door remote controls, Magnetic Selective Ride Control (a $1995 option), 6 speed paddle shifter automatic transmission (a $1250 option), Dual mode exhaust (a $1195 option). 3M clear plastic paint protection bra installed on front, hood, and mirrors (this protects the paint against rock chips). Best of all...this car comes with a Premium Warranty. That's correct! When we bought this car from a dealer we purchased a premium warranty that covers over 500 key components. This warranty is like having a full warranty on a brand new car. It will cover the power train, air conditioning, electrical systems, brake system, etc....just like a new car warranty. It has a $100 deductible. This warranty still has 9 months on it's coverage and is fully transferrable to a new owner for a fee of $40. I have the full contract and list of everything that is covered by this warranty. It is not issued by a fly by night company either. It is issued through Ford Motor Company extended service plan. Yes, I realize this is a Chevrolet, but this warranty is accepted at any dealer. I checked that out extensively with my Chevrolet dealer. So, you can buy this car and feel very secure that if anything goes wrong in the first 9 months it is covered by an excellent warranty. We have never had to use this warranty because this car has had absolutely no issues, but our dealer did check it out and said it was a very good warranty. The remainder of the warranty is valued at $625 based on it's original 36 month cost. Additional Info: Always garage kept. All regular maintenance done by Chevrolet dealer. The battery was replaced 2 years ago at a Chevrolet dealer and the car is regularly put on a trickle charger when not being driven. We have averaged less than 4000 miles per year on this car. The tires are in great shape (see pictures). Like new car cover with C6 emblem (see picture). We replaced the original floor mats. This car has not been hot-rodded during the time we have owned it and I do not believe it was ever abused prior to that. It runs extremely smooth and has no rattles. It is a very tight and smooth riding vehicle. We were surprised when we first drove it as we expected a Corvette to not drive so smoothly. We originally thought we wanted a navigation system until I realized you could not plug in an iPod on a 2008 model with a Nav system. Besides, if the GM Nav system in 2008 was not any better than the one on my 2010 Tahoe then there is no reason to have a Nav system. Our iPhone is a much better Nav system than the GM version. The Bose system in this car sounds great. Why selling??: Neither of us had ever owned a true American sports car before. It's a beautiful and great driving car. We were members of the local Corvette Club for a couple of years and made some friends there. We hate to let this car go but we have decided to look at buying a boat. We live close to a lake and a river and we are seeking new adventures. So here is your opportunity to own a really nice Corvette that should keep it's value for quite some time. We just hope whomever buys it takes as good of care of it as we have. I will answer all questions promptly. Qualified buyers only please!!
