Up for sale is my 2003 BMW R1150 GS. The motorcycle is in very good condition. This bike is referred to as a R1150GS "Sport". It was a special model of GS that came in yellow, featured a black engine, the lower gears of a GS Adventure and did not have ABS or linked servo brakes. Tires are in decent shape and have some good life left on them. Bike runs very very well and rides very smooth. Heated grips work, all lighting works as it should, starts, rides, accelerates, shifts and brakes exactly like it should. The only issues I have had with the bike (and they are minor but I'm telling you everything I know): 1) the factory seating is starting to weather slightly but no tears yet. The seat is still very comfortable and useable.2) it has the typical noisy starter but it is a new one installed by the local BMW dealer and works like a champ. 3) when riding below around 35F outside temp the speedo gear makes a whining sound and the speedo shows double your speed or better. If you stop or almost stop rolling and then start to move forward again, the problem goes away. On the other hand, don't ride when its so cold and it won't be an issue I suppose. Others on forums have repacked with grease and its gone.4) there is a dent and some scuffs on the left front of the fuel tank as shown in the picture along with some minor scuffs on the crash bars as typical on these5) the keyed locks on the Jesse luggage do not lock but the lids close tightly and operate well. Comes with everything you see on the bike. Options/upgrades include heated grips, PIAA lights, Jesse Luggage panniers, Remus cat delete pipe, handlebar risers, front fork stops and more. There are no known or suspected problems with the bike other than what I have nitpicked about above. Full service at 66,000 by the dealer, including new brake lines front and rear, a new starter and a few other odds and ends. The bike was gone thru from end to end. I have 3 other BMW's, just bought a 1200 GS because I wanted and found one in Red Rock paint and so now I am thinning the collection. I do try to ride at least one of my bikes daily so the mileage may go up slightly. All photos were taken January 5, 2016 and represents the bike exactly as it will be sold. BIDDING?
