This car's ownership is 100% documented since is was sold new at Aristocrat Motors in Kansas City, and has spend its life in Kansas and Missouri. I purchased this 911SC from an attorney in 2014 and I have now decided to purchase a 997 so I am selling the SC. When I purchased the car I was pleasantly surprised to find the original owners manual and supporting documents. Most notably, the car belonged to Bob Hindson of Bob Hindson Racing in Kansas City. He performed a lot of work on this 911SC and even rebuilt the motor. It is stamped and documented in the service records. In case you've never hear of Bob: "Bob was a factory trained Porsche technician and previously a factory team race driver for Datsun and Porsche. Bob was fundamental in the development of the “famous six” 914-6’s that were campaigned in 1970 and 1971 in the SCCA. Bob was chosen with the likes of Peter Gregg, Elliot Forbes Robinson, Richie Ginther and Alan Johnson to campaign the 914’s for Porsche. Bob’s most famous and notable achievement was back to back victories at the Daytona 24 hour in 1976 and 1977. Along with this, Bob also won 13 Divisional Championships in the SCCA." Everything seems to work on this car. It does need new back seats padding. The backs are fine but the seat inserts are gone. You'd probably want to eventually change out the headliner. I would probably replace the shift coupler and bushings at some point. You can get all of these parts from Pelican. I just haven't ordered them or done the work. Of course, if you are into the air-cooled 911's you know you can spend a lot more! These are just a few things I'd do. It is stamped in the service records. I have included addition photos of the battery compartment, interior and headliner where the sunroof opens, engine compartment, boot, the factory tool kit, all factory books and manuals, and a few miscellaneous others.
