1954 Triumph Thunderbird

This is a matching number 54 Thunderbird project bike that's about 92% complete. According to the Triumph owners club in England this bike was delivered to Nassau Bahamas when new, and I got it from a rather unusual fellow in NYC a few years ago. It comes with a title from a previous owner with the buyer section left blank. It is one of the last rigid frame 650's Triumph manufactured. I intended to paint it Black ! but I have run out of time and enthusiasm to finish this scarce and collectible British classic.If it doesn't sell as a project I may part it out to recover more of my expenses so please advise if you are interested in parts . The crank/rods have been professionally refitted with new std inserts in later model rods. The original babbit rods are included. Cylinder professionally bored .060 with new pistons , pins,etc. The head was professionally reworked with new valves, guides, and springs. The cams are OE excellent as are all the timing chest components. New UK main ball bearings are included. The motor is ready to be assembled.The tank has been sealed with POR fuel tank sealer and tested . It had numerous pin holes in it ; mainly in the top ? as ebay only allows 12 pictures I can't get even close to all the items included on here, I can easially send you all 42 pictures if you are interested . They are quite helpful in explaining how complete the bike really is .
