Vehicle Detail

Short and sweet story behind this vehicle. Purchased the vehicle from a police auction. September 2015Planned on using it as second car/City CarOnly major modifications noticed was a XM radio, and antenna. Replaced with OEM.All filters that were removed were Honda OEM, indicating Dealership maintained car.Carfax records indicate was regularly serviced at Acura Dealership.Replaced leather 5 speed knob with Honda OEM style brushed aluminumClutch and gear box, shift pattern, grabs, and goes through the motions problem free.Selling due to needing a pickup truck. (in market for Honda Ridgeline) FACTS ABOUT THE TITLE: I was told this was not a narcotics impound, (Police), then was told, (impound), the vehicle was towed from a nearby dealer for having $3,500 worth of work done to it, and not paying and abandoning the vehicle. The vehicle has on the Auto check/Car Fax a "Salvage event." Likely Hail damage, as small dents are seen on the ROOF only and COMPLETLY cosmetic. It is unclear what exactly the salvage event was, but assuming these possibilities: At time of a Repossession, the engine/trans was not operating or the hail damage that is on the roof. I assume repossession as the owners appear to have been same last name , same address. i could be completely wrong, but that is my theory.I spent roughly 60 days negotiation with the abandoned title unit at the DMV, and was issued a S, for salvage mark on the title. A salvage inspection was not needed on this vehicle since it had been registered and inspected two times since the event according to the DMV. Their response was vague to, "it was reported at auction for salvage, however we have no idea into the why's." The title is a standard title that carries now a S brand, in the state of NJ. NOTHING extra needs to be done at this point. I did all the leg/paper work, and the car is sold with a title that i assume would be considered "reconstructed,". I may be incorrect and it may be considered a salvage title, however no inspection is needed in NJ, its all been done.Insurance companies need to tell you the title has a salvage event on them and may, not offer you collision insurance. Refer to your own state laws and company requirements as I am not an insurance professional. (my insurance company said, we normally don't offer, but you can challenge that descition by submitting an inspection.) Then Techcron'ed gas.Added Freeon to Spec. EXTRASFull owners manuals. Spair tire is complete, no wheel locks on this car. 3 sets of Acura Keys with remotes, all programed and work. Parts included to be installed: NEW: Front and Rear Rotor sets and Ceramic brake Pads, Aftermarket8 Honda Rotor Set Screws, OEMNSK Wheel hub bearing, OEMDriverside Hub, AftermarketCenter/mid Spash shield. AftermarketTrunk basketUSED: Extra Radio bezel OEM CONS (MATCHED WITH PROS): Driver side wheel bearing and hub should be replaced soon. There is play in the wheel already, and occasionally can hear a hum/grinding. I have driven the car 1,400 miles like this, and i purchased the parts, just haven't gotten around to doing it. (mostly because of weather) The average shop charges 1.25-2 hrs for this. PARTS HAVE BEEN PURCHASED ALREADY, and are included with vehicle.Headlamp tabs on passenger side are broken, and bumper/fender need adjustment for correct body lines. Extra pictures of the damage are included. I have not purchased an additional headlamp as it is aimed correct enough not to be bothersome. Headlamp does not vibrate, doesn't take in water, aim is acceptable. Previous owner set it this way. The headlamp is original Honda, and the fender has the vin sticker. ALL BODY PANELS BEAR THE ORIGINAL VIN STICKER.I was told by impound, the vehicle had the timing belt, and water pump service done, along with coolent flush. Car fax didn't report the service, and when i received it, it was too dusty to see if it could've been done. I will say the coolent is clean and appears to have been flushed. I would change brake fluid when doing brakes.Small tiny chips on windshield, however, it is ORIGINAL, (Honda) and no cracks whatsoever. Chips are just notated as being there. cracks are not.Driver seatbelt requires slight wiggle to engage, otherwise it has been cleaned and latches. Paint is scraped on bumpers and it has the smallest rust spots over the fender well.LARGE PHOTOS ARE FOR YOUR INSPECTION VALID NJ INSPECTION till 11/2017 Price reflects title status, investment, and condition. Thank you. I am willing to entertain shipping companies picking up vehicle. *If car does not sell, i will be doing the repairs next Monday, and price goes up $400.
