I purchased a 2000 Honda Insight with 39,299 original miles from a Southern California City. The city registered it on 12/19/2000 with 20 miles on the odometer. They had possession, and their mechanics maintained it until I purchased it a short while ago. Air conditioning and Keyless Entry are but two of the many extras included in this well- equipped 5-Speed sport auto. All systems are operational. This Insight is original and in very good mechanical condition. The Owner’s Manual (all 250 pages of it) is in the glove-box. The spare tire is in its rear compartment. The lug wrench is still in bubble wrap inside its vinyl pouch, and another larger vinyl pouch encloses the unused jack. There is a small bump in left rear corner plastic underbumper just rear of the wheel skirt. (Refer to pics #2 & #3.) On January 9, 2016, with 39,413 miles on the odometer, I had Hybrid Revolt install a New High Current 8-Amp Hour IMA Battery in the Insight. The new battery has a 1-year transferable warranty. However, the warranty may be extended for an additional two years for just $100 per year anytime during the first year. The new owner may contact Hybrid Revolt and request the optional two-year extended warranty be added (for a total three years and $200). A battery harness that is required when adding a grid charger was also installed. Four Potenza RE92 tires with high-tread are on the Insight. On the driver-side door-jam is noted “color R-510”. The city had put its logos on the Insight doors and rear quarter panels. They were removed before being sold, and are barely noticeable. The paint on the small 39 inch by 32 inch top of the Insight has faded, somewhat. The remainder of the paint looks good. I ran a history report with “Auto Check” on January 7, 2016. It is a very complete check, but short due to the fact that in the “Detailed Vehicle History” section there are only three events noted on it (instead of ten or fifteen on higher-mileage and/or multi-owner vehicles).
