Vehicle Detail
I found this Honda CT 70 in a body shop that was going out of business. The owner said he restored it for his grandchildren a while ago and they rode it until they out grew it and then it just got put in a corner. So I bought it and here it is, it doesn't have a title, ( there was no place on the listing for no title so I just clicked, "Clear", didn't know what else to do). The bike didn't have a vin plate on the front fork like the others I have seen on the internet. It had a vin actually stamped on it, don't know what that's about. Anyway, THE BIKE WILL BE SOLD WITH A BILL OF SALE ONLY! So on to the bike, I truly don't know what year the bike is, I only say its a 70, 71 or a 72, as it has a 4 speed. And the information I could find said the 4 speed was only built in those years and was a H model. It has some things I couldn't find on any other bikes also, like a center stand and a 70 mph speedometer. The bike is in very nice shape, it was obviously repainted, not to the original color red but the paint looks very nice. All the chrome is in decent shape and cleaned up well, seat is nice, no rips, tears or dry rot. Tires appear to be relatively new and the rims are clean with no rust. I changed the gas and the motor runs smooth and quiet, doesn't smoke or leak, (probably still should have the carb pulled and cleaned). I have been riding it around and brakes work as they should with no issues. Head light,(high and low beam), tail light, brake light, horn, speedo, neutral and high beam indicators work as they should. In general a very nice bike. Now for what it needs, the aluminum handle bar bracket is cracked, (see pictures), the battery won't hold a charge and the turn signals are missing. I have done my best to describe this bike, if there is anyone who knows more about it please drop me a line and I will correct it. Also ask any and all questions and have shipping arranged prior to bidding. Thanks. On Jan-13-16 at 06:05:05 PST, seller added the following information: Just found out this is a Chinese Model of the Honda CT 70, built in the 2000s. Sorry for the Miss representation.
