Vehicle Detail
I have only had to perform routine maintenance on the car since I've owned it. I say I'm the second owner, but I'm actually the third. I purchased it from a contractor, who had taken it in trade for work he did on the home of the original owner. He never used it, as he had an adequate car. The trunk space exceeds the available storage of a Pathfinder or Explorer (with the second row seat up). The 3.8 L supercharged engine is easy on gas and provides incredible power in typical driving conditions. The 9 speaker stereo sound system was amazing, but the radio stopped working, and I have not replaced it. The 5 cigarette lighters allow everyone to charge there phone ipod etc. It's a full size car that fits 6 people. I did a full conversion, front struts and rear coil springs, to replace the original factory air suspension which tends to decompensate in these models as they age. The ride is better that most European cars i've had before. I had the vacumn system overhauled with replacement high performance silicone vacuum hose kit, which are the yellow hoses seen in the motor view. The spark plugs and spark plug wires have also been replaced as part of the 130,000 mile maintainence. The odometer shows 135,670 miles, but it will have approximately 1000 more miles on it when you pick it up in Phoenix. I live in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico in the winters and am forced to sell the car because I can no longer keep it in Mexico. My Mexican visa doesn't allow me to keep a car registered outside Mexico, as permitted on my previous temporary visa status. If you look carefully at the passenger side photo, you might notice that the rear door paint looks a little bit different. It is because the new paint has not oxidized with age as the original paint on the rest of the car. I sideswiped a tree when backing up had it repaired in a local bodywork shop. There was also a tear on the driver door armrest when I bought the car, and I repaired it with a plastic repair product that is a little different shade of tan. The badge on the front grill is also missing and I can't find one locally. The tires are matched and have approximarely 50% tread remaining. On Jan-07-16 at 07:03:48 PST, seller added the following information: To answer a question received on the car, the AC blows cold, the compressor recently rebuilt. The transmission shifts perfectly. I had never thought about it to add in my description, since you can't even tell when it shifts gears. It also has a new battery, replaced this past September. On Jan-09-16 at 07:51:32 PST, seller added the following information: The description above states I'm the third owner, but that I'm essentially the second, and then the VIN check says four owners. That is because the first owner's son received the car in his father's estate and then immediately traded it to the contractor for the work to repair his father's house in preparation to sell it. I was unaware that the son took title in the interim, but realized it when the VIN check designated four owners.
