Thanks for looking at this 1997 Mercedes E300D Diesel! This great diesel was my regular driver until I was forced into a company vehicle. This diesel engine is known for its durability and I planned to drive this Benz for the next several hundred thousand miles. I bought this Mercedes with just over 100K miles on it and the previous owner was a retired diesel mechanic. I drove this car for work and almost all of the driving has been highway miles. This Mercedes has nearly every option and it's such a pleasure to drive. The car is powerful yet efficient and I have went over 700 miles between fill-ups several times. The car is very clean, always garaged, and does have some, but not "normal wear and tear" consistent with its age. I have driven this Mercedes in the winter but have always kept it cleaned off. The only small surface rust spots were on the corners of the front doors and just under the rear key entry on the trunk. These have been treated and painted over. When cleaning up the car for pictures I found that the rubber strip that hangs from the bottom of the front passenger door was missing. I don't think it was there when I bought the car and you wouldn't know it until looking under the door. This Mercedes has not been driven much lately and I noticed that the AC was not as cold this summer, so there may be a leak. The glow plugs have been replaced and the engine starts smoothly, even in extreme cold. There is a built-in block heater with a plug at the front to just connect to an extension cord. This Mercedes also has front and rear fog lights (see pics). Please look at the pictures and ask any questions. This fine Mercedes has good tires and could be driven anywhere across the country. I have used Mobil 1 synthetic oil and have included some with diesel additive, manuals, and two sets of keys. The remote access is line-of-sight and works aimed at the driver door, rear view mirror, or trunk. The Bose stereo system includes a 6 disc CD in the trunk and sounds great. I've included a close-up of a small crack in the rear bumper trim. The front bumper, trim, grill, and fog lights are all new after a light collision with a deer. The battery is under the rear seat and is fairly new. I'll let the pictures do the rest of the talking! I am selling this Mercedes starting at just $200 and with a low reserve.
