1972 Porsche 914 California original 98% rust free project car that was sold new in Santa Clara California I have the original sales receipt owners manual and service book. Car has 102,000 original miles. Body is exceptionally straight only two small scrapes one on the right door and one on the right rear quarter panel plus one very small parking lot ding on the right door. Other than that all panels are laser straight and absolutely rust free with no body filler. Car had one repaint over the original silver that was not very good quality and is flaking off. No rust in the front trunk or rear trunk. Floor pan is rust free except for very small section at left rear corner as shown in pictures easily patched. Battery tray is rusted through from battery acid but no rust to metal underneath whatsoever. Engine does not run car has been sitting since 2002 I have not attempted to start it. Engine may or may not be seized. Obviously has never been removed all numbers matching drivetrain. Interior is in pretty decent shape for 43 years old. Dash has several cracks as common. Lower dash pad is perfect, right door panel is amazing, left door panel is ok a little warped at the lower center edge. Seat upholstery is ok but lower sections are dried and cracking. Vinyl behind seat is in amazing shape and still very pliable. Carpet and floor mats are still looking fair for 43 years old. Right passengers door window is missing was broken out. Doors do not open from the outside handles are common to brake but can possibly be repaired as parts to rebuild are available. Has factory wrapped leather steering wheel and fog lights in bumper. Also comes with aftermarket front Amco chrome bumper guard and rear(not currently installed but included with car). If your looking for a 914 to restore you probably would be hard pressed to find a better specimen than this one to start with! Has a clear California title on a current non-op so no back fees.
