The stated auction terms must be observed to maintain this guarantee. This is a 1950 Ford Coupe Resto-Mod in beautiful condition. This car looks Fabulous, and is guaranteed to catch almost anyone eye, particularly any car aficionado. This Coupe was owned by the same person for the past thirteen years. He purchased this car from a very high end collector (who is a personal friend of Wayne Carrini and who has been featured with Wayne on multiple episodes of Chasing Classic Cars). This car underwent a full Resto-Mod that took nearly six years, and was completed approximately 15 years ago. This car has been driven about six thousand miles since then, mainly to cars shows and hotrod or classic car events. These are the details of the restoration that I was provided:· This was a full, frame off restoration.· The body was removed, and the frame was fully prepped and coated. All of the suspension and steering components were replaced and/or rebuilt. · A Mercury Flathead V8 engine was rebuilt and installed. This engine has a high rise aluminum intake manifold and dual carbs. · The transmission was fully rebuilt, along with all shifter linkage. An automatic overdrive was also added, so you can comfortably drive this car on the interstate.· The rear differential was rebuilt. A new driveshaft was installed with appropriate U-joints. · True dual exhaust with glasspacks was added, which makes this car sound period appropriate. The side pipes were installed for looks, but have never been used. They are fully functional and can be hooked up if desired. · The entire body was stripped, prepped and refinished in the sparkling blue metallic. The ghost flames and trunk graphics are all painted. · The full engine bay was also stripped and painted, along with all wheel well openings. · All exterior trim was refinished, and all of the chrome was stripped and re-chromed.· The custom grill was installed, and a set of spoke wheels are from a 1955 Thunderbird were installed. · The interior was gutted and fully replaced. · The front and rear seats were completely reupholstered with all new cushions and the gray velour fabric. · The carpeting and all insulation was replaced. · Custom door panels and rear deck were produced and installed. · A custom fabric headliner was installed. · The electrical system was converted to 12 volts.· Digital instrumentation was installed in place of the speedometer, and a cassette radio was also installed. This Coupe starts, runs and drives absolutely beautifully. You’re not going to believe how nicely this car runs and drives. I drove this car back to our shop about 40 miles, and was totally and pleasantly surprised. This is literally a vehicle that you can get in and drive right now. The overdrive makes this a totally usable highway vehicle, and I don’t see anything about this car that would prevent me some from driving this car anywhere. The owner drove to car shows 100+ miles away without any concerns. The Mercury Flathead V8 engine starts easily and idles perfectly. It is very strong and smooth and it does not smoke. The transmission shifts perfectly and the clutch engages smoothly. The shifter linkage is snug and tight. This car idles quietly, but has a nice crackle when you step on it. The suspension and steering feels nice and tight, and the brake feel is excellent. * This car also comes with a manual floor shift transmission with Hurst shifter, that could be installed in place of the column shift if desired. The only indication that this car has been driven after it was restored is a little road grime on the undercarriage. The undercarriage is in excellent condition, without the slightest bit of rust or other damage. The floors are completely solid, and the frame along with all suspension components still have the coating from 15 years ago without any deterioration. The exterior looks absolutely fabulous. This car was refinished 15 years ago, but it looks like it was painted last week. The body is super straight, and the paint is in outstanding condition. The finish is nearly flawless. I think there is only one stone nick on the car, and a rub mark where one of the rear wheel side skirts attaches. Otherwise, there aren’t any paint defects at all. The flames and graphics are in perfect condition. All of the chrome on this car looks brand new. The spoke wheels are perfect. All of the glass is crystal clear, without any streaks or scratches. The interior looks like it was never used. All of the seat fabric, door panels, headliner, dash etc, and in perfect condition. No stains, wear marks or signs of use. It even smells like new. This is a fantastic looking, and superb running car. This Coupe needs nothing, and could be picked up and driven away, or entered in a car show right now. The balance is due within seven days. Pickup of the vehicle is within ten days of auction completion. The acceptable methods of payment are Bank Wire Transfer, Certified Bank Check, Direct Deposit or Cash in person. We do not offer financing. Deposit down payments are non refundable. We do not accept trade ins. Any guarantee offer for this vehicle will be voided if payments are not made according to terms. WARRANTY: This vehicle will be sold AS-IS with no warranty expressed or implied by the seller. However, the buyer will be offered the option to purchase an additional Extended Service Warranty for all applicable vehicles. The title is guaranteed to be free and clear. There will be no liens or encumbrances on the title. The stated odometer reading is within +/- 500 miles. PICK-UP: Please check with us before scheduling your vehicle pickup. We are not a retail dealership, so it is very important to coordinate your arrival with us before finalizing your plans. We are available from 8AM to 3PM weekdays, and are closed on weekends. We are approximately 15-minutes from Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), the Amtrak 30th Street Train Station, and the Greyhound Philadelphia Bus Station. REGISTRATION, TITLES & FEES: Out of state purchasers do not pay any Pennsylvania sales tax. A $60 fee will be added to the final sale price of each online transaction, which will cover document fees and preparation, notarizations, and courier costs. Temporary Transit Tags are available through the state of PA for $60, which will provide valid registration for a period of 30 days. In order to obtain this tag, please provide proof of insurance for any vehicle that you presently own. Titles are available to the buyer immediately upon full irrevocable payment, which is performed by bank wire transfer or cash in person. Otherwise, the title will be sent to you after your payments have cleared our bank. Occasionally, a title is still being processed by the state and we will issue free temporary registration until the title is received. All vehicles we sell on eBay are stored in a separate secured facility and we require that all vehicles be picked up within ten days of auction completion. Storage charges after ten days will be charged at $15/day for cars, and more for trucks and larger vehicles depending on size. (Storage charges will not apply to vehicles scheduled for pickup by a transporter). We will try to exercise some flexibility to accommodate special requests regarding our terms, if they are placed before the auction ends.
