Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a 2003 Honda Foreman ES ATV. This is an olive colored vehicle in very good condition with relatively low mileage (3940 miles). This vehicle has been ridden conservatively and has been well taken care of. The truth of the matter is that I have been afraid to go too fast or try anything foolish on it. I’m just too old for that kind of excitement or danger. It has always been kept in a garage and/or with a cover over it when not in use. I purchased this Honda Foreman ES new, and considering the amount of time I have had it, the mileage is still relatively low. The ATV has been parked in my garage for the last couple years, so in order to be sure it was still in excellent operating condition, I took it to the Honda Cycle Dealer last month and had it serviced. The oil, oil filter, air filter and spark plugs were all replaced. Since it had been sitting for couple tears, I also had the carburetor rebuilt just to make sure it was in perfect operating condition. The battery also died from sitting for so long, so it also has a brand new battery in it. The vehicle is ready to drive and go where ever you like without any further maintenance needed. Unfortunately, after having all this service work done on it, I came to the startling realization that I’m just too old and not physically able to ride it anymore. The years have just caught up with me and there are less strenuous things in life for one to do without being on an ATV. That said, there’s not much sense it having it take up space in the garage anymore. This ATV has an EPS push button start, which makes it really easy to get it started. It has a 5 speed transmission with electronic shifting. If you haven’t driven one of these models, shifting to a higher or lower gear is as simple as pushing the up or down shift button. It also has on the fly, 4-wheel drive, letting you go into 4-wheel drive anytime you might need it. The ATV includes the following options/accessories that were added to the vehicle after purchase and are included with the sale of this vehicle: The original owner’s manual and tool kit that came with the ATV are still in the rear glove compartment. Street legal registration: The ATV is currently registered in Arizona and has an Arizona license plate with a current 2016 license plate tab. Brake lights and a horn were added to make this vehicle street legal. It is ready to ride on streets in a number of states accepting Arizona license plates where ATVs are allowed on roads. Rear view mirrors: Two mirrors were added to see what was behind me. This was also a requirement to make the vehicle street legal in Arizona. They really come in handy though. Rear cargo box: As you can see from the picture, a large, hard plastic cargo box is attached to the rear metal rack. If you don’t like it, it can easily come off, but it sure comes in handy to store whatever it is you might need to take with you on a ride. This especially handy if you plan on going camping or hunting. The cargo box cover clamps on to the top and makes the box rain proof. Saddle bags: There are two canvas bags, one on each front fender, for extra storage room. While they aren’t the biggest storage areas, they have zip up compartments for water bottles, maps, gloves, etc. They are just tied on and are easy to remove. They also do not get in your way while driving. Additional front metal storage rack: As you can see in the pictures, there is a second metal storage rack on the front of the ATV. This was especially made to fit over the front rack so that an extra gas container could be stored on the factory rack and still have a metal rack available to pack on extra gear without putting pressure on the gas container. The additional rack is easily removable if you don’t want it there. Gas container: Included with the ATV is the special 3 gallon plastic gasoline container that fits on the lower front metal rack of the ATV. Special locking devices (also included) hold the gas container firmly in place on the lower front rack while you drive. The gas container was originally red and was spray painted green to have it match the ATV. Some of the paint is peeling off the container, but can be spray painted again. Tow Hitch: The ATV has a tow hitch with an added 2-inch ball. This can come in handy for a small trailer or other small equipment, not to mention towing someone you are with if they break down. GPS with GPS mount: Attached to the handle bar of the ATV is a GPS mount that holds a Magellan GPS. The Magellan GPS is also included with the ATV. The GPS runs off 2 AA batteries, or can be connected to the accessory (cigarette lighter) outlet on the ATV. The GPS also comes with a new user manual. Plastic Cover: A black, waterproof plastic cover to keep the dust and/or sun off the ATV is also included with this purchase. I have used this cover even when it was parked in the garage to help keep it clean. Additional Comments: There are a few light scratches on the vehicle from occasionally going through heavy brush. However, none of the scratches are anything that really stand out. The tires on this vehicle are worn and should be replaced if you plan on doing some long camping or hunting or riding trips or plan on going over rough terrain. After I realized that I wasn’t going to be doing too much riding anymore, I just left the existing tires on there because they were sufficient enough for any short rides I might have worked up the energy to go on. I’ve tried to take plenty of pictures to give you a good visual of what I have listed. However, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. PICK UP ONLY Obviously, this is not something that can be easily shipped, so if you are interested in this ATV, please be sure you have a way to come and pick it up. This ATV is 48 inches wide, so you will need a trailer at least 5 feet by 8 feet to move it. The vehicle is currently located in Beaumont, Southern California, about 20 miles east of San Bernardino, California off of Interstate 10.
