This van was specially modified originally for someone to transfer from a wheel chair to the drivers seat as you can see by the pictures. The seat alone sold new for over 10,000 dollars. Sheesh....the costs are something! We used this van for transportation of our son in a normal wheelchair (versus power) We have four straps which you can see in the picture which are still like new. The door and ramp are electric. They can be opened by both key on outside or with remote. Additional open and closing options are inside front passenger door as well as on console. An electronic motor depresses the parking brake via console switch so the door will open safely. Of course the brake is manual as well. We have airbags which came with vehicle also. It has the equipment for keeping vehicle at a certain level but we disconnected it for our use. It was not needed. There is a manual air inlet underneath hood for variable rise if we needed it. The pump is still there but disconnected. The locking mechanism on the floor for a power chair is there also but you might get a professional to hook it up properly. This van has front and rear air which works quite well. With only 79,000 miles on the vehicle it should be quite dependable for someone in need and especially so if you need this set up to drive yourself. The hand controls are no longer there for brakes and throttle but should be easily obtained. Please feel free to email for any further questions to be answered.
