This 1991 Toyota MR2 base model (non-turbo) with red exterior, black interior with black/gray cloth seats, 5-speed manual transmission, T-tops, and alloy wheels. Includes original owners manual, tire changing tools, pouches for T-tops storage and window sticker. The car has only 74,363 miles and is generally in excellent condition, with a few items of work needed. We have owned this car for 17 years and have all service records since 1998. We have driven the MR2 about 2000 miles in the last 3 years, so it is time to sell it to someone who will drive and enjoy it on a more regular basis. The car runs well but would benefit from more running time. This MR2 has been garaged in Florida for its entire life, so there is no rust on the car. This car has always been smoke free. The red paint is original with a few very minor scratches. There is some fading and water spotting on hood, engine cover, and trunk lid. There were some problems with the factory red paint in the 1991 and 1992 models. There is one small dent (about the size of a half dollar) on the driver's side front fender (see picture). This dent was the results of a ladder falling on the car in the garage of the first owner before we purchased the car. There is no damage to the paint at the dent. At this time the car has the following issues: the tachometer, retractable radio antenna, and cassette tape deck do not work. Also there is a very minor oil leak that has been present for a number of years. The air conditioning system has been converted to 134A refrigerant and works well. The interior is in excellent condition, but the original floor mats are worn. The underlying carpeting is like new. There are no rips or tears on the seats and no cracks in the dashboard. The alloy wheels have some "curb rash" but are generally in good condition. The car still has the original 14 inch wheels. The tires (Michelin Pilot) are about 3 years old but only have about 2000 miles of wear. This is a great car for someone who wants a clean, original, very low mileage Toyota sports car with great handling and little wear. Lots of miles left in this one! Terms of Sale -- This almost 25 year old car is being sold as is, with no implied warranty. All sales are final. Inspections must be completed prior to end of auction. There will be no after sale inspections and there are no returns or refunds of deposit. The buyer is responsible for all taxes in their state and all title fees and other fees imposed. The seller will not pay for any transportation or other cost. This is a pick up only. A $500 deposit is required within 24 hours after the auction closes and must be paid via Paypal. The accepted method of payment for the remainder of balance is CASH in person at time of pickup. The pickup and final payment has to occur within 7 days of end of auction.
