Vehicle Detail
Complete professional frame-off body and mechanical restoration in 2014. Every single part from large to small replaced/rebuilt with OEM or better. No rust anywhere. 1000 miles since restoration. Highlights below: - Rebuilt original Toyota 6 cylinder engine (all internal parts and seals, carb, ignition, etc.) - Rebuilt original 3 speed manual transmission. - Rebuilt original transfer case. - FJ60 power steering conversion. - Hydraulic clutch (all new parts, from hoses to master and slave cylinder). - Power brakes with disc in the front and drums on the back with all new parts (master cylinder, hoses, rotors, etc.) - Rebuilt front and rear drivelines (shafts, u-joints, differentials, etc.) - Replaced all suspension and steering components (polyurethane bushings, zinc-plated steel shackles with grease zerks, shocks, tie-rod/relay/drag link ends, etc.) - Aqualu Industries aluminum rear tub and half doors. - Custom made bumper with tire carrier. - Fuel tank repositioned to under frame with cap-less fuel cap. - Double stage paint job. - Soft components replaced including new top, front and rear seats from BesTop (full safety belts in front, and lap belts in back). Custom built soft windows on removable frame via 4 bolts. - All new electrical wiring with painless connection harness. - Custom exhaust. - New windshield and seal. - Full roll cage with head protection.- Documented receipts in binder available for new owner. This beautiful FJ40 runs and drives great, tracks and steers straight down the road, feels exceptionally solid going over bumps, and brakes like a new car. Let me know if you have any questions. More pictures available upon request. 11-25-2015Thanks for all the compliments about the Fj, it is indeed a great running/looking truck and someone will get a great deal considering this FJ is turnkey and restored 100% (every nut and bolt). Regarding the back and front windows, I do have them and they are in new condition. The rear panel is a zip up, and the front windows are built onto a professional made metal frame that mount to the half doors (mounts with 4 bolts, easily mounted and removed in a few minutes). I reached the limit of 24 pictures on the ad, but if you send me your email I can send you pictures of them. Regarding original mileage, I do have the stock speedo cluster that was on the truck before restoration showing 50K miles, and I believe this to be accurate and have not rolled over because of the condition of internal components before rebuilt (the original speedo cluster comes with the truck). And regarding shipping, an open carrier would be ok, but I think enclosed carrier would be better. I have used a shipper before with great success that can ship it in an enclosed carrier within the continental USA for $1000-$1500 depending on location. I can send you the contact information if you’d like.
