This 2004 Hyundai Elantra GLS/GT is in excellent condition, with the exception of obviously being smashed in the side as the photos well illustrate. By excellent, I mean for it's age. Minimal rust, clean interior, and believe it or not, this car actually drives in a straight line which would indicate little or no frame damage from the accident. I actually drove this car from the Chicago area to Princeton, IL ( about 90 miles) at 60mph after the accident. While it's driveable, the main reason you would be interested in this car would probably be for parts. The engine suffered no damage and is perfectly operational. It was my daily driver until the accident and had no mechanical issues whatsoever. Heat works, AC works. Sunroof doesn't work because electronic control box failed. The motor for it and everything else works. Still mechanically sound, leaks no oil, and has many newer parts including radiator, power steering pump, water pump, alternator, and brand new battery. Due to the passenger side door being smashed, the "door ajar" light is always on on the dash display. Because this light is always on, the battery will eventually die if not disconnected. As it sits right now, the brand new battery has the negative terminal disconnected so the battery stays charged and this will need to be connected for the car to start. But it will start perfectly and run great. Drivers side parts are all good, interior seats are in good shape and usable. Brand new front bumper cover. See all the pics.
