This 1963 Ford Fairlane 500 2-door hardtop Sports Coupe is a rare find. This is an original California Car!! Built in San Jose and sold in Los Angeles. Cosmetically this car is in amazing condition, it would be very hard to find one better. Mechanically this car has been fully-updated so that it is now a very cool Muscle Car.. Interior, Exterior, Suspension, and brakes have been totally gone through. It is not short on power, considering the as original 260 V8 has been professionally and entirely re-built, spec sheets are attached, here is the breakout (See the VIDEO’s BELOW!!) ENGINE SPECIFICATIONS * Numbers-matching 260 ci V8, bored .040 over, fitted with SpeedPro Aluminum pistons. Compression ratio is 10.5:1. * Mild Comp Cams Thumper series cam ( intake/ .490 and exhaust/ .475) * Holley 4160 4-barrel 600 cfm carburetor * Edelbrock Performer intake manifold for 289-matched gasket * Holley fuel pump and filter * Ford Racing Power Pulleys * Champion Aluminum oversized radiator with Stainless Steel Flex Fan * Pertronix Billet Distributor and Coil * Billet Specialties polished Air Breather and valve covers * Summit Racing hoses and fittings (including transmission and fuel lines) * Short-tube ceramic coated headers with dual exhaust HEADS: Early 289 cast heads, non-rail style pinned studs, decked and shaved, ported and polished, 3-angle valve job, Z-28 heavy gauge springs, small Chevy .194 and 1.60 valves, and ARP bolts. These are Hipo heads! SUSPENSION: The car has a tight suspension with many upgrades for long haul cruising including the front disc brake kit, heavy duty front/rear springs, new bushings and shocks, Eagle 15" polished alloy wheels, and nice Goodrich T/A 60 series tires. TRANSMISSION: Factory Ford C-4 with shift kit, Hughes 30-30 3000 stall, and Summit Racing fittings REAR END: Factory Ford with 3.55:1 ratio INTERIOR: The interior has all new custom cloth upholstery, plush and comfortable, has new carpeting, matching "Fairlane 500" floor mats, mint dash and gauges, fully operational switches and gauges. Under the dash are 3 high-quality AutoMeter gauges: Tach, oil pressure, and water temp. The gas tank is also new. EXTERIOR: As shown in the pictures, the undercarriage of this car has no issues, and no patches to be seen anywhere. The frame, floor pans, wheel wells, and rocker panels are all solid and rust-free. The doors open and close easily and smoothly, and all windows go up and down easily as well. Glass is all very good. The windshield and rear window appear to be original. The windshield has some mild pitting that would be expected on a 52 year old car. This car gets plenty of attention both on the road and at car shows. Its stance is excellent and sits level as seen in the pictures and video. It drives down the road straight and true, with tight steering, excellent power, and a definite muscle car rumble. It runs cool and strong, and can be driven anywhere. The dark cherry red paint is glossy, no drips or defects (professionally done and baked) and in great overall shape.
