Vehicle Detail
1968 Porsche 912. This is a very original example of a 912 to restore. This car is a stalled restoration that has sat for a few years. It has all its original body panels. Original fenders, doors, bumpers, glass, etc. 5 early Porsche steel wheels. It had the floorpans and front suspension pan replaced. The usual places that other early Porsche 912's rust look VERY solid on this car. The rear torque tube box area and where the suspension connects looks great. The rear shelf area is rust free. Underneath the doors are rust free. The headlight bucket are rust free. No signs of accident damage or body filler anywhere. This is a VERY restorable car. There is still some rust but not bad at all. The outer rockers have rust. The driver hinge panel on the door has rust. There is a small rust hole under the trunk. These last two areas are unusual-probably from water dripping down from a nail hole in the ceiling. This car has a disassembled Porsche 912 engine. The numbers are the right time period for when the car was built-late 1967. There are no guarantees that it is the original engine without a COA but at the very least it is year correct. The engine has its case, crankshaft, heads, intake, and original Solex carbs, fan shroud, and generator. It is missing pistons, rods, and a few bits and bobs. The still installed transmission is a 902/2 5 speed transmission. All the suspension and brakes also look to be in good condition and are original. There is very little missing from this car. The front seat frames went missing when the floorpans were done. At least I have the original (or original style) upholstery in excellent condition. Although most of the engine is included, there are some parts missing from it. The rear decklid is missing the aluminum grill. That is all I can think of but if you don't see it in the pictures then don't assume, please ask. I have more pictures uploaded to a website. Please ask and I will direct you to the site. This is a fire sale auction. I need to sell this car fast to finance a purchase. PLEASE, only serious bidders. I would be happy to discuss a buy it now price with any interested people. This car is registered in my name here in the state of Georgia. This required a police vin inspection, insurance, and a year registration. YES, this works as a title for the state of Georgia for this year car and YES, your title state will accept this paperwork. This paperwork is also good for export purposes.
