1960 Ford Starliner 2 door hardtop, great for a restoration project! Its a fairly solid South Dakota car that doesn't appear to have been into a lot of salt. It has shiny chrome with hardly any pits. Has a 352, 4 barrel V8, cruisomatic and power steering. It has been sitting many years, so the motor is stuck. Recently penetrating oil has been put in the engine cylinders. Needs brakes, may need seat spring repair, ect, ect. It has a budget looking paint job. The doors work well. It has a very solid interior floor with almost no rust. Its about 90% rust free and not been repaired to my knowledge. The center pan of the trunk floor has rust, which is a common occurrence on old 60 fords. A reproduction center trunk is available through carpenter, macs, others. In the trunk the area surrounding the center pan is not rusted out. It has the original jack as well. It doesn't appear to have been in an accident and no hail damage. The magnum 500 wheels need re-chroming. Has all 3 hard to find gold starliner emblems. They are not reproduced. Has starliner chrome nameplate on glove box too. It has original radio and steering wheel. The original chrome horn ring has "Power steering" printed on it. It needs complete new interior upholstery. This model was also known as a "Galaxie Special" Starliner. There is rust in the right quarter, lower rear behind the aluminum "wash boards". Included with the car is a solid used replacement panel to fix the rusted area. Frame is solid and most body mounts are good but there are a few small rust spots. A better used gas tank is included. There are numerous reproduction parts you can get as well for the 1960 Ford and Starliner. The South Dakota title is clear. Car has been outside for most of its life and is not perfect and does not run. So it is sold as is. I have done my best to describe the cars condition. Included is a 1/18th model, Ertl car. Odometer shows 75,914 but I don't know if it its actual mileage. Old car price guide shows $7800 for #4 condition, $4680 for #5, and $39,000 for # 1 restored. The 60-61 Starliners remain the most sought after 2 door hardtop full size fords of the 1960s. Deposit of $500.00 is required within 2 days closing auction. Full balance within a week.
