1977 Triumph Bonneville

I am listing this bike for the widow of a friend who recently passed away. He was my neighbor for the last 10 years and I know he had the bike when he moved to the neighborhood. I have only seen him ride it once or twice and it sat in his garage unused for nearly all of the last 10 years. After we replaced the dead battery and put some gas in it and it started on the first kick. The paint seems to be in very good condition considering the age. The chrome on the exhaust, fenders, and wheels is all excellent. The clutch, transmission, and brakes all work. The engine sounds good. The speedometer and tachometer may not be originals and do not appear to register accurately. The odometer shows 2359 but I suspect it is not original. The tires hold air and have ample tread but the rubber seems to be fairly hard. There is a very slight weep of gear lube on the bottom of the engine case. The kill switch on the handlebar does not function. The wiring has been modified so that the headlight switch on the nacelle functions as a combination headlight/killl switch.
