Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is my 1987 Porsche 944s. I bought this for my girlfriend to have something to cruise in on Woodward during the summer but she has a hard time with the driving position and pedals ...and I have too many other toys. The car has just under 63,000 miles on it (about 1500 from me) and runs and drives great. Lots of recent maintenance and receipts from parts. I've done new hood/hatch struts, new shift boot, new sunroof gears, new OPRV seal, A/C and PS belts, and spark plugs. PO did the timing belt/chain tensioner/clutch at 55,000. Car cranks strong and starts well, idles right at 900 RPM and never overheats. Runs great on the highway as I've been using it as a commuter car back and forth to work this fall. Paint is good with a few dents and dings here and there, most noticeably a door ding on the passenger side (see pictures). Heat blows hot on all speeds. This car has some of the best rubber (bumpers and wing) I've ever seen on a 944. Hideaway lights work well as do all turns/fogs/high beams. The bad:Small oil leak (about the size of a half dollar when it sits over the weekend). It's only noticeable with the undertray removed.I just stripped the odometer gear about two days ago. Apparently that's a well known issue in the Porsche circles when pressing the trip reset when the car is moving (oops).`Slight vibration from the front right above 70 mph. I think I lost a wheel weight (there's clearly one missing) so I'll have the wheels and tires balanced before the sale.Tires are low on tread. I'll put a fresh set on if the car meets reserve. Some paint chips on the valve coverAftermarket radio (Not my style, works fine, but I'm not a big fan of the look)Fore/aft adjustment of the passenger seat isn't currently working. I'll take a look, I'm not completely sure how that mechanism works. If it's something simple I'll try and fix it quick.Small circle crack in the windshield under the wiper from the arm coming down and hitting the glass during a wiper change. I don't NEED to sell the car, but I'd really like to free up some garage space this winter (thanks Michigan...). I strongly urge prospective buyers to either come see the car in person before the auction is over or have someone else take a look at the car for you. Everyone is different on the things they look for in a vehicle and I want to make sure all parties are happy with the sale. I'd be happy to drive the vehicle to a local shop of your choosing if you'd like to have it inspected at your cost. Feel free to contact me with any questions or specific picture requests. Thanks,Brian
